Dear Sephiroth: (a letter to a fictional character, because why not) #331
I woke up relatively early today. J had a dentist appointment. But yesterday, he had a COVID shot, and he was feeling really weird, both emotionally and physically, when he woke up. So I went along with him. It's relatively far away, and sometimes when his brain gets a little weird like this, it's best if he's not left to his own devices, or he'll start to feel disconnected from everything.
I got a couple neat pictures along the way...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We stopped for pizza afterwards. And then we went home. On the way, in one of the little patches of grass on the side of the road, I saw a skinny black stray cat. On the other side of the narrow patch of grass is a plaza with a bunch of different stores. It's not a safe place for a stray cat to be; not only are there far too many cars, but also, hawks hunt there; you can see them chilling out on the street lights during the day. So M and I tried to go back to see if maybe I could coax the cat into coming home with us...
...But it has a healthy mistrust of humans. That is good, because lots of people in my world really dislike black cats, and think that they're bad luck; it's ridiculous. Still others will be very mean to them, capture them and try to hurt them, and worse; it's too sad to talk about.
Despite being armed with catnip and very popular cat treats, the cat fled from me. I wonder if the thing to do is to get another humane trap, cover it in blankets, fill it with catnip, and check on it every several hours...
...It's getting colder outside. And it looked so thin... And is it spayed/neutered? I feel like I should at least do that much; it's better for the cat in the long term, even if it can't be properly socialized, and it'll prevent new kittens from being born into cold, starvation, and death.
...I'll talk to M and J about it. My brother asked to borrow my humane trap some time ago and an opportunity for him to give it back never arose, and likely never will. This isn't a problem, really. He can have it. I'll just get a new one, if M and J feel we can spare the resources for one.
...Cats shouldn't be homeless. They're not native to this continent; they're native to the deserts of Africa and Asia. They were brought to temperate environments by humans, where they wreak havoc on the populations of small birds and small mammals. Ultimately, it's not the cat's fault that it's in an environment that it wasn't built for; the blame for that goes back thousands of years. But I can do something in the now.
...Besides... I think it could get used to having a warm place to sleep, good food, and nice scritches, maybe! I'll see what M and J think about it tomorrow...
I went to my friend BB's house after that. We decided that once a week, there should be a “Get Stuff Done” day. The idea is that I go over to her house and help her get on top of things she had been putting off. Today, we went to the store and got her an angled broom and some bleach. Push brooms are nice for covering wide areas, but there are gaps in between the bristles and they're not very good for precision work (like sweeping corners) in the way that angled brooms are. And bleach is essential for getting grime out of places like sinks, tubs, and toilets; let diluted bleach sit long enough, and it'll do most of the work for you.
Once that was done, she swept N's study. I showed her how to bleach a sink. It's simple stuff; you just put a plug in the drain, pour in a little bleach in – enough to fill it up an inch or so (or 2-3cm) – and then fill it the rest of the way with very hot water. Let it sit for at least a half hour to allow the bleach to work its oxidizing magic on whatever gunk is in there, then pull the plug and scrub out whatever remains with a melamine foam pad, and you're good! We can clean a toilet in the same way! We got the sink cleaned up this way, and all 4 of her toilets look a lot better now, too!
I put on a playlist while we worked to help keep old memories from creep-creep-creepin' into my skull. Here's what I used this time:
Oh!! Right!! When working with bleach, make sure you use gloves that are meant for household cleaning. Bleach is a strong oxidizer, and it does not discriminate between sink gunk and human skin; the stuff is corrosive for this reason. Keep yourself safe.
We also reorganized her kitchen a little; some bottles and cans of juice and sodas that were out on the floor are now in a large cupboard that was mostly vacant except for a single small bottle of wine. The wine got moved elsewhere, and now the soft drinks live in the once-vacant cupboard. We threw out some things that needed to be thrown out, too, and moved some other things to more appropriate places. The whole area is a lot less cluttered now!
I also cut up a pile of plastic pack rings (these are used to bind together bottles or cans in groups of 4 or 6) that BB had been meaning to get to, but hadn't gotten to due to other stressors. It's important to cut them up before disposing of them, because if you don't, and if they happen to find their way out of waste management systems and into the wilds, an animal can get their head stuck in them, and then they die horribly. We want to try to avoid that.
...Ultimately, it'd be best if companies found a better way of binding their cans than those plastic rings, though...
We got quite a lot done in only a few hours! I'm looking forward to going back next week to see if I can help her with additional things!
I was pretty hungry by the time I got home, though, so I fixed myself a plate of various random things; want some?
Tumblr media
I warmed up one of those pumpkin spice English muffins and spread some cream cheese on it! I got a few slices of ordinary lunch meat, too, and some apple pudding that J made, and some of the pumpkin seeds that I made not too long ago!
And I made another tea to go with it; hopefully the cream swirls are a little better this time, haha...
youtube
I changed out to my fourth set of braces after that. I'll show you the new ones as compared to the first; the first is on the left, and the fourth is on the right:
Tumblr media
...It's starting to become a little easier to see the differences between the sets, at this point. Though, admittedly, this set doesn't seem to be fitting me quite right. It seems like there's a bit of space between the plastic liners and my actual teeth; I can feel it when I bite down. It's annoying, in the same way that it's annoying when your sock slides down in your shoe and bunches itself up into the arch of your foot.
...Hey Sephiroth? Has that ever happened to you? Like, your sock falling down in your big tall boots, and getting itself wedged awkwardly between the arch of your foot and the insole of your boot? How do you deal with that when it happens? Do you fix it right away, or do you just deal with it until you get home? And if you fix it right away... how do you do that? Because your boots don't look like they're easy to put on or take off. Or maybe, do you have extra special awesome socks that don't get bunched up to begin with? I wonder...
...I sent out a bunch of asks recently, trying to see some of people's favorite music. I've gotten a couple of responses so far!! I wanted to go through and listen to all the songs I got, but... it's getting pretty late. I have to try to get my butt in bed. So I think I'll do it tomorrow!! I'll make up a playlist full of the songs I got and everything! And I'll add to it as I receive more answers to my asks!
I'll get started on it tomorrow, after I call the orthodontist to make sure my current set of braces is fitting properly! And maybe I'll doodle while I listen, too! It'll be good!
Hey. I love you a whole lot, and I'm thinking kindly about you all the time. So please keep striving for that normal life. You can have it. You don't need to become a god in order to be loved. You don't need to break everything in order to find peace. All you have to do is improve your boundary skills, stay away from people who intend to hurt you, and improve your conflict resolution skills so you can come to a mutual understanding and find a wholesome solution when, inevitably, someone missteps and hurts you accidentally. Surely, these are achievable goals for someone as smart, brave, and adaptable as yourself, right?
Please stay safe out there. Don't throw your life away. I'll write again tomorrow.
Your friend, Lumine

Forgotten Keys - Soap Mactavish x Fem! Reader
Tumblr media
Summary: Off duty, it’s nearly christmas and dog sitting? Feeding a mangy mutt which ends up with you locked outside your own home, no way to get inside unless you want to kick your door in, which you don’t want to deal with. No phone, no keys, trip to town on foot you guess. Sudden near miss and a yelling match with a stranger, another man who comes to diffuse the situation, you soon come to realise who that man is.
(There may be a part two if wanted lol)
Got inspo by another fix that someone wrote, it was a Reader x Ghost though and they bumped into each other at the supermarket. Please if anyone knows who wrote tell me so i can credit them for giving me inspo!

——————————————
It’s cold in Scotland.
Obviously.
It is only a few thousand Kilometres from the North Pole.
You moved here just before joining the military, only because your uncle and aunt needed some help with the small farm they had. You quickly fell in love with the small village, it was a town bordering England and Scotland. Duns. Small town, the type of town where everyone knows everyone through someone else, not unusual for a small Scottish town. You could walk your dog and be greeted by at least five people that knew you, or they know you through someone else. Even if you live a couple minutes out of town on a farm, at least someone will say Good Morning of some sort. Kinda nice but somewhat weird if you dive into the connections deep enough.
You roll out of bed, knowing you have to get up, knowing you have basically nothing in the pantry, maybe a bag of potato chips.. Maybe? And some Coffee and tea. You do know that there is beer in the fridge, only a few bottles, maybe something frozen in the freezer? And the box full of essentials your aunt and uncle gave you when you got back. But god you couldn’t remember what there is, the day you got the call that you were needed for a mission with the 141 you practically gave all your food to your neighbour just down the street or your uncle and aunt. You don’t live far out of town, maybe a ten to fifteen minute walk? Basically a 10 minute walk to the golf course on the other side of the farmland your property backs onto. It’s nice out here but, if you wanted to go get food you gotta drive or you could risk freezing your tits off. Enough wallowing in bed, while the birds outside chirp, and the sound of the neighbours dog barking next door. You gotta feed it, they have gone away for the holidays and asked for you to feed it before their coworker? Friend? Who knows, shows up to take it with them. Which is today hopefully.
After pulling on some fuzzy socks on your feet, some random pair of cargo pants, and a hoodie. You head downstairs, you wander into the kitchen, the tiles cool under your sock wrapped feet. You fill the kettle with water and put it on to boil, you rub the sleep from your eyes as you look out the large window just above the kitchen sink where you can see your back garden and farmland past that. Another howling bark sounds out to your right, making you groan as you trudge to the front door, slipping on your already caked in mud rain boots, taking the heavy winter coat off the hook and adventuring outside into the crisp air of the winter morning. You trudge your way across your driveway, stomping through the snow, trying your best to avoid the ice underneath. You reach the side gate that leads into the back yard, you set out to find the key that's now buried under a few inches of snow and the doormat. “Fuck sakes…” you grumble as you kick the snow away, not wanting to take your hands out of your pockets.
Bark, Bark, Yap.
“Oh my god. Shut up!” You spit out to the small dog on the other side of the door, the small curly haired dog is bouncing around like some child on a sugar high on their birthday. You manage to find the key, quickly unlocking the door to let the dog out. Not caring if it freezes to death at this point, you manage to feed the mangy mutt without a problem and lock it back inside the house. Putting the key under a plant pot so it's easier to get if you need some reason to go back in there. Whoever it is that's supposed to take the dog is coming to get it today, at like lunch? Afternoon? Who cares, you don’t.
You trudge back to your place, almost landing ass first on the ice but catching yourself just before you hit the hard ground. You groan as you go to open the door, expecting it to open. Nothing, you try again twisting the handle every which way, nothing. You kick the bottom of the door to see if it’s just stuck, nothing. “No, no no no.” You curse under your breath as you take off running to the side of the house, trying the side door, no success. Back door to no avail, you check to see if any of the ground floor windows are cracked open a touch, no luck. Nothing, no way in. Your windows upstairs are locked tight due to ice. “No! Fuck, shit. This can't be happening!” You check everywhere that you have left a spare key in the past, then it dawns on you. Spare key is in your car… your locked car, one covered in snow and ice. Yeah that shitbox that's sitting happily in your driveway, taunting you with the key sitting in the cup holder of your middle console. Your face is pressed up against the glass, tears of anger, annoyance and stress form in your eyes as you slide down the side of your car. You would prefer to get shot over this any day.
You sigh as you stand up, dusting off the snow from your pants.
Your mission; get to the locksmith in town, get help, get five spare keys made to hide around your property, hot shower then drink your day away then sleep. Good Mission.
You trudge your way to town, your feet occasionally sliding on the road, the slight hill your home sits on doesn’t help. The occasional car goes past, in the wrong direction of course. Your hood is up, shoulders to your ears, hands shoved deep into your pockets. “Fuckin’ worst break ever” you curse as you start walking past more houses, families happily inside, warm and cozy, watching cringy christmas movies, sipping hot tea or hot chocolates. While you’re stuck outside on a sunny but cold winter's day, trudging to town in rubber rain boots, cargo pants that aren’t that warm, only a hoodie and jacket to keep you warm from the cold's sharp bite.
You pass a couple that is walking their dog, happily chatting, beanies and gloves, probably fuzzy socks as well. You huff  as you turn the corner, seeing the market square come into view. Your soul desire is to just get to the gas station that's just past the market square. No wallet on you either, so there’s no possible way you could get a hot drink for the road. The smell from the bakery floods your nose, the sound of christmas carols, folk songs and whatever else there is playing sounds out from the small stores around the square. Kids laughing and screaming, parents talking as their kids play in the snow, all wrapped up from head to toe in warm clothing.
You finally make it to the gas station, almost. You look both ways before crossing the road, being careful to walk where there doesn’t seem to be ice, your feet slip on the ice ever so slightly. You see someone coming around the corner, mere yards from you, you're quick to throw yourself to the curb knowing the car won’t stop. You push yourself to your feet, whipping around to confront the dickhead who nearly ran you over. “What the hell man! Look with your fucking eyes!” You scream as you see a man step out of his car that is now poorly parked on the side of the road, its front tire on the curb. “Ya the one who should be lookin’ where she's going!” He barks back. You stand your ground and clench your fist.
“Maybe quit lookin’ at yer bloody phone and pay attention to the world around you, you think you're so big hotshot? Pull yer head outta ya arse and learn to drive!” “Oh shut it girly! Ya sure can’t say shit, yer the one walkin’!” “Oh why you little-” “Oi! Hey! Cut it out, what the hell are ya screaming about?” Another man’s voice cuts through. Your eyes are trained on the man in front of you, you're seething, you're holding back the urge to deck this man right here and now is powerful. “How about you just back off mate, get your arse back in your car and go home.” The new man growls out as he stands next to you, you watch as the idiotic driver looks from the other man to you. “Bet you can’t do shit even if you tried.” You raise your brow as you step forward about to lunge at the man, he’s short and stocky, you could take him. Arms wrap around your waist as you scream at the man who’s backing away to his car. You spit out any insult you can think of as you fight against the arms around you. “Aye, Lass calm down. He’s about to cry if you keep this up.” You freeze in your squirming to bash the man's head in. The arms that are around your waist loosen their hold on you, allowing you to turn to see who was holding you back.
Your eyes widen when you see the sky blue eyes, the mohawk and cocky smirk. “Soap?!” You gasp, wrapping the man in a hug. “It’s good to see you two Lass” he laughs as he holds you close, savouring your warm embrace.
“What the hell are ya’ doing here Mactavish?” You question as you let him go, looking him up and down. He’s clad in winter gear, better than what you have on, including some gloves. “Could ask you the same thing C/N” he smiles as he looks you up and down, his brows furrowing slightly at the state you’re in. “I live here, on the other side of town, a few minutes out” You shrug, temporarily forgetting why you're here in the first place. “Not surprised, but you don’t look that prepared to be walking the streets” he points out, motioning to your lack of cold weather gear. “Oh” you breathe out, your cheeks heating up, a strong contrast to the freezing temperature they were just moments ago. “This is gonna sound really stupid, I locked myself out of my house…” You chuckled nervously, finding the muddy snow beneath your boots a lot more interesting than the man in front of you, he laughs, it makes you smile as you start chuckling with him.
“How the hell did you manage that?” He chokes out while laughing. “Feeding the neighbours mangy mutt” you groan, “I forgot to bring the keys with me, and muscle memory kicked in and locked the door from the inside before closing it” you sigh. Soap shakes his head, placing a hand on your shoulder, “and you walked all that way here?” “Yep.” “Christ Lass, let me give you a ride at least” you shake your head as you walk with him towards the gas station. “No, no. It’s okay. I was just gonna ask the guy who works here who is also a locksmith to give me a ride and help me” you smile at the man next to you. “Lass, I don’t want you to waste your money on something that I can help you with.” You look at Soap with an awkward smile. “… you left your wallet as well didn’t you?” You nod your head, “and my phone…” you mumble under your breath as you notice him stopping at what you would guess is his car. A nice Jeep Wrangler. “God you are a numpty ain’t ya? Take this, go get yourself something warm” he states as he hands you a few notes of cash. You look at the money in his hand, looking back up at him. “Just take it before you starve to death.” He grabs your hand and slaps the money in it, making sure you are holding it properly. “Do you want anything? It is your money Soap…” he shakes his head as he starts fueling the vehicle. “Go get yourself something Lass, I’ll be there shortly.” He nods his head towards the building of the gas station. “O-Okay” you state as you make your way to the building, sighing when the warm air meets your frozen skin.
You’re still standing in front of the pie warmer when Soap walks in, he chuckles lightly, walking up behind you wrapping an arm around your shoulder. “Still looking Lass?” He looks down at you, noticing you holding the money close to your chest. “C/N?” His voice now low as he nudges you slightly. “I don’t know which one to get…” you mumble as you stare at the hot savouries in front of you. Soap grabs a pie, steak and cheese, no surprise there. He grabs another one, the one you like most. “There, done. C’mon” he pulls you gently by the hand to the counter. You attempt to pay with the cash Soap gave you but he beats you to it with his card, paying for the food and gas quickly. You two leave thanking the workers. “Here’s the cash since I didn’t use it” you hold the cash out to the Scotsman, he looks at you with a smile, gently pushing your hand away. “Keep it, I don’t need it. Now get in before you freeze.” You sigh as you get into the passenger side, thankful to be in the warmth.
The drive to your place is short, filled with chatter as you talk about plans for the holidays. Soap is planning on just driving around, having some time to himself away from the busy life of family before going to his cousin's place for Boxing Day, only a few hours away from your town. Christmas Day is just by himself this year. You’re having a calm Christmas with your Aunt and Uncle, your half sister coming up with her husband and her kids for Boxing Day from Alnwick over the border in England, and the annual family call. You continue chatting while you eat your pies, sitting in your driveway before Soap gets to work on unlocking your house for you.
“There we go, you’re in.” He smiles as he stands up, placing the small tools back inside the glove box. You sigh in relief as you push the door open further, making sure it's unlocked. “Thank you so much Soap!” You wrap your arms around his shoulder, thanking him with a hug. His arms wrap around your waist bringing you closer, a smile on his face. “Any time Lass.” You pull back, your hands resting on his shoulders, his hands still on your waist.
You two have always been close when you joined the 141, you two kinda just clicked. Yes you got along with the others, but you two always had this way of just knowing if the other is off. Upset, angry, annoyed, tired, or just needing comfort. Yes sometimes you’d pass out on the couch together while watching a show, if one of you got too drunk the other was there to support them. If you were under the weather, Soap was always there to make you laugh or just give you company if you wanted it. You were like two peas in a pod, you didn't want to admit it to yourself, much less anyone else. But you did find Soap someone you could see yourself having a relationship with, you might even say you have a crush on him. You’d never admit that, you sure as hell wouldn't tell the very man that's in front of you that either. Even if you did, it might get in the way of your job, might even cause one fo you to join a different task force.
“Do… Do you wanna come in?” You ask softly as you let your hands slide off his shoulders, motioning into your home. Soap smiles as he lets go of your waist - albeit reluctantly - “If you don’t mind” you shake your head lightly, letting him walk in. You kick your boots off and hang your coat up, leaving them by the door neatly, Soap following your actions. “Nice place you’ve got here.” He states. None of the walls have photos, you never really cared to decorate as you're barely home, there's the old picture frame on the mantle above the fireplace. A fake plant on the dining table just off from the kitchen. “Thanks. It’s not much, but it's home I guess.” You state as you make your way into the kitchen. “Tea? Coffee?” Soap chuckles at this “I ain’t not Brit” “Oh shut it MacTavish” you both fall back into comfortable conversation, you making a cup of tea for yourself and Coffee for Soap.
You feel Soap come up from behind you, wrapping his arms around your middle, resting his chin on the top of your head. “Soap?” You question quietly as you stand still, soaking in the warmth but confused by his sudden need to hold you. He doesn’t reply, you can see his reflection in the window. He’s watching you through the reflection, you smile softly when you make eye contact, his grip tightens slightly. “Johnny… You can call me Johnny” he mumbles into your hair, you hum in response. You turn around in his arms, bringing your hands up to his jaw, his stubble rough against the palm of your hand. “What’s wrong Johnny?” You ask quietly, unsure what’s gotten him so quiet suddenly. He leans into your touch, his eyes fluttering closed, he's tired, exhausted, drained. His hands rest on your hips, his thumbs rubbing soft circles into the fabric of your pants, he's fidgeting. You gently trail the hand he isn’t leaning into down his arm to rest over one of his own, you step to the side slowly, guiding him upstairs. He follows behind you, letting you lead him through the house, upstairs is darker than the rest of the house, the curtains still drawn in your room, a small amount of sun filtering through the small gap. You pull him towards your bed, the covers still a mess from you getting up earlier in the day.
You’re laying on your bed, Soap wrapped around your abdomen, head nestled into your neck. Your hand combs through his mohawk, nails gently running across his scalp. His arms are securely wrapped around you, his grip not faltering. “Johnny?” You whisper, nervous to break the comfortable silence. “Mmh?” He mumbles into your neck, his breath warm against your skin. “Would you like to stay…” you pause, sighing as you push down the nerves. “Would you like to stay with me, like over the holidays, till you gotta go to your cousins?” Your heart races, waiting for his reply. Did you just fuck everything up? Did you read into this friendship wrong? Did his lingering touches mean nothing? “Gladly, only if you're sure ya can put up with me that is.” He chuckles softly, his arms pulling you closer.
“If this is what we do everyday then I’m sure I can” you giggle as you feel him nuzzle your neck, your hands finding purchase on his shoulder, attempting to push him away gently, his stubble tickling your neck. You open your eyes when you feel him pull away, he’s looking at you, a small smile on his face. Not a smirk, not a teasing smile or a shit eating grin. A happy, content smile. One of his hands cups your jaw, his eyes glancing between your eyes and your lips, his silent question dancing in his eyes.
There’s mere inches between you, he closes the gap, his lips locking onto yours. Gentle, caring, loving kiss. Your arms wrap around his shoulders, pulling him as close as possible, not wanting this euphoria to end. He leaves you breathless when he pulls away to allow you to breathe. “Are you okay with this Y/N?” You answer his question by pulling him back into the kiss, heavy and heated, still passionate and loving.
Your tongues dance, the desire to taste the other overwhelming. His hand holds your waist, fingers dancing under your hoodie. He pushes you into the bed, supporting himself on his left forearm. You moan into his mouth when he slides his hand up your side. “Fuck, you taste like heaven Lass” he mumbles into the kiss, his mind a jumbled mess. Yours not much different, your hands run down his chest, stopping at the hem of his shirt. “Johnny- fuck. I didn’t think you liked me like this” you chuckle as he kisses your jaw, his hand that's under your hoodie slides up your back.
Bringing you closer to his chest, he kisses your neck. “I thought you weren’t interested in me, but I guess we were both wrong.” he chuckles as he feels your hands trace his taut muscles. You smile as he lifts his head, he looks at you with soft, loving eyes, with a genuine smile as he commits everything he sees in front of him to memory.
“Will you be mine, Lass?” Your eyes widen, so does your smile. “Yes, of course” Soap seals it with a kiss, his hands bringing you as close as possible, your own arms wrapping around his shoulder, hands running through his mohawk.

“Again!”
Your arch nemesis yelled as you landed on the rubber mat with a huff, back hurting from being repeatedly thrown around during the sparring session. It wasn’t your day apparently and you kept missing punches and ended up on the floor more than you should have. Your sparring partner was a trainee which added insult to injury and given that you were being judged and yelled at by James Buchanan Barnes was just another blow to your ego.
It was no secret that you two didn’t get along. Years ago when he was the Winter Soldier, you had been sent by Shield to track him down in Bucharest which had gone south very quickly. You had almost lost your life and if weren’t for Natasha coming to your rescue, you wouldn’t have been here to hate him. The permanent scar on your abdomen thanks to his metal arm and the fact he’d choked you until you’d passed out – the now invisible finger marks around your throat were enough to remind you of all the hatred you felt towards him even years after he’d joined the good side.
“Are you snoozing over there (Y/L/N)? We’re not done just yet, let’s try it again.” Bucky’s harsh voice snapped you out of it as your opponent helped you stand up. You glanced at the man who had a look of disapproval on his face.
Channeling your rage was easy, you managed to get a few good kicks in and knocked your partner Jake down a couple of times, eyes flitting towards Bucky to make sure he was looking at your progress, but he didn’t seem fazed. Rolling your eyes, you went over to grab water from your gym bag to take a breather when Bucky stopped you.
“Where do you think you’re going?”
“Taking a little break. Don’t I get five minutes?”
“You’ll get a break when I say you can.”
“Hey I think we’ve had enough, we can call it a day.” Your partner offered, trying to diffuse the tension that was building.
He dismissed Jake but asked you to get back on the mats with him instead, you knew this was coming. You went for the water anyway while Jake got his things and left sending a sympathetic look your way as you wiped some sweat off with a towel.
Bucky flexed his arms till you joined back, just a little show off that you didn’t care about before you prepared yourself, guards up. You had to ignore his critical look at your stance otherwise you were sure to have punched him in the face right there and then.
You were quick to attack first but it was almost as if he was expecting the move, he dodged it with minimum effort and held you in a headlock, the metal arm around your neck while the other held your head making it slightly difficult for you to breathe.
“That was sloppy.”
His voice was low and breathy against your ear while you made futile attempts to free yourself. He did you a favour and let go, only to land a kick against your sides which you thankfully blocked just in time.
The sparring session went on for a while with you taking blow after blow, blocking a mere handful but adding to Bucky’s annoyance and your own rage. A final move had you pinned underneath him, his face inches from your own, the dog tags he always wore clinking against each other as they fell out of his training shirt. Bucky’s eyes shamelessly roamed over your heaving chest as the sweat made your skin glisten, the strands of hair that escaped your ponytail and clung to your forehead, your eyes that bore into his, defeat hidden beneath the simmering fire.
“I thought you were one of the good ones (Y/N). You disappoint me.”
“It’s funny how I thought the exact same thing about you Barnes.” You seethed before you pushed him off, stood up and went towards the bench where your bag was.
“We’re not done h—”
“Yes we are! I think I’ve had enough humiliation to last me a decade from you today. I don’t care if what you say, I’m done.” You turned around heatedly as you yelled, your voice echoing in the empty gym, stopping Bucky in his tracks as he watched angry tears gather in your eyes.
“You let emotions get in the way (Y/L/N) that never makes for a good agent which I had my doubts if you were, now it’s pretty clear.”
“Oh I’m sorry not all of us were brainwashed to be cold-hearted assassins Barnes.”
That was a step too far, you knew it, he knew it, but you were practically fuming at this point and it just slipped out.
Bucky took slow, deliberate steps towards you, making you back away until your back hit the wall, as he stopped right at the point where your chests were almost touching. His human arm slid along your sides before he wrapped his hand around your throat.
“I can be cold-hearted when it comes to others things too little girl.” He whispered dangerously, the grip tightening just a little, enough to elicit a whimper from your lips.
“Don’t call me a little g—”
Before you could finish, his mouth slanted over yours in a bruising kiss that took you by surprise at first but soon you found yourself kissing him back with equal if not greater fervour. Wedging his knee to push your legs apart, his hand left your throat to pull the straps of your sports bra down to expose your breasts. Bucky’s tongue mingled against yours in an assault while he kneaded your breasts before tracing a pattern down your neck to the valley between your breasts where he sucked possessively. A groan fell from your lips when he grazed his teeth over your pert nipples.
Your hands desperately grabbed his shirt before pulling it over his head and throwing it somewhere in the back. He picked you up by the back of your knees before taking you over to a bench and carefully laying you on it, all while attacking your mouth with his ruthless kisses. Your eyes remained shut as you felt trapped in a heady mix of the need you felt for this man and the desire to have him in you right here in the compound gym and you were sure he felt the same as your leggings slid down your legs along with your panties to join the heap of clothes on the floor.
“You’re soaked baby girl… is that for me?”
Bucky’s fingers toyed with your glistening folds before sliding a finger inside as you gasped at the intrusion. Your eyes flew open just enough to watch him close his lips over your bundle of nerves while he added another finger, stroking your walls and stretching you out. Just as you were about to cum, Bucky pulled his fingers out causing you to whine out loud.
“Cold-hearted assassin was it?”
Previous anger came flooding back as you sat up only to push Bucky on the floor as he stared back at you, equal parts surprised and impressed. Undoing his pants in a hurry, you freed his erection and pumped his cock a few times, swiping your thumb across the tip to collect the precum. He watched you in awe as you worked him up, doing absolutely nothing to stop you as you straddled his hips before sinking down on his length.
“Oh fuck…”
“Where was all this aggression?” Bucky growled, grabbing your hair roughly to pull you down for a kiss as you began rolling your hips. Your eyes mapped every plain and dip of his chiselled torso all while your mind thought of ways to make him shut up.
Your nails scratched marks on his shoulders as you picked up the pace gradually, your sensitive nub brushing against his pubic bone every time but you wanted more. You drew tight circles with your own hand chasing your release before Bucky slapped it away only to replace it with his own deft fingers.
He began thrusting up faster, jaw clenched to suppress his moans, filling the room with the sounds of skin slapping against skin and your mewls as your walls fluttered around his cock deliciously, your orgasm consuming you whole, clouding your thoughts and triggering his release as his cock twitched before filling you with thick ropes of cum.
You collapsed against his sweat-lined chest and lay there for a bit, slowly floating back to the land of the living.
“Why do you hate me?” Bucky asked after you parted to put your clothes back on.
“Why do you?” You countered.
“You’re an obstinate incorrigible woman.”
“And you’re an arrogant piece of shit.”
The glares you gave each other melted away as smiles began appearing in place of them as you head out of the gym together, the after effects of your activities showing.
“You want to grab a bite to eat later?”
“No. I still don’t like you Barnes.”

It had been about a year since you told your family about your tendencies. Since then, you quickly became efficient in the art of redstone wiring. The precious dust became your saving grace in a way, it was because of it that you stopped skydiving. Of course, you missed the feeling you got when you got close to the ground going at mach speed, but they were just intrusive thoughts at this point; you didn’t make any move to fulfill your desire. Redstone wiring took your mind off from it.
Lately, you spent most of your time in the basement where you set up your workshop to craft most of your supplies and write out blueprints. You were working on finding out a way to somehow launch TNT to make igniting it safer. You figured out that you could use a dispenser to plant the TNT, repeaters to prolong the time the TNT gets placed, a button to press to initiate the whole process, and use redstone dust to connect everything together. Now you have a working TNT launcher, but you have to find a block to use as a wall to protect the user from the shockwave of the explosion. You found out the hard way that the shockwave is enough to knock you back a few feet and give you small burns.
You reached over for more iron to make another repeater, but your hand came up empty. You furrowed your brows as your hand patted around the chest before finally looking over to look more closely. The chest was completely empty. You groaned in frustration, you could’ve sworn that you had more iron to work with. Looks like you had to go mining again. Sighing as you checked your redstone dust supplies, you supposed that you could look for more of that too.
Prying your goggles off from your eyes and placing them on your crafting table, you checked the time. It was almost sunset, which means it’s close to dinner time. You walked up the stairs and to the kitchen, where Philza was cooking dinner.
Sitting down at the dinner table, you greeted him. “Hey Dad, what’s for dinner tonight?”
“Steak and baked potatoes. How’s the TNT launcher coming up?”
“It’s coming along. At this point, I just need to figure out what block I could use as a wall to block the shockwave and how many repeaters I need.”
You remembered earlier today when you got the unexpected knockback in your backyard where you were building the launcher. Philza got used to the constant explosions, so he wasn’t phased when the explosion was louder than usual. He just thought you were using more TNT than usual, so he just resumed chopping wood. Soon after the explosion, he heard a thud and a groan coming from you. When he glanced in your direction, he saw you laying in the grass a few feet from the launcher. He chided you for not being careful with how much TNT you used, but he was proud of you for being so innovative. After giving you a health potion for your burns you got, he told you that you were done building for the day.
He hummed thoughtfully as he flipped a steak. “Have you thought about using obsidian? It’s pretty durable and it could withstand quite a bit of damage.”
You slapped a hand to your forehead. Why didn’t you think about using obsidian? Most TNT technicians used obsidian to shield them.
“...No, no I haven’t. You don’t suppose that we have any laying around?”
“I’m sorry hun, but we don’t. I could go mining for some though.”
“No that’s fine, I was actually going to find a cave tomorrow to restock on iron and redstone. I’m running low.”
“If that’s the case, I’ll lend you my diamond pickaxe. The iron pickaxe you have won’t mine through obsidian. Dinner’s almost done, can you go get your brothers?”
“On it!”
You ran up the stairs, hearing the strumming of a guitar growing louder as you approached Wilbur’s room. Knocking loud enough for him to hear over the guitar, the strumming stopped and he called out a “come in”.
Opening the door, you smiled at him. “Hey Wil. Dad wanted me to tell you dinner’s almost ready. That new song sounds great by the way.”
He put his precious guitar back into its case on his bed as he turned around and returned your smile.
“Thanks (y/n). Tell him that I’ll be down in a moment.”
Nodding, you closed his door and went across the hall to Techno’s room. Before you could knock, the door swung open to reveal your oldest brother.
“I heard you tell Wilbur dinner’s ready. I’ll see you there.”
You stepped aside to let him into the hall and started to walk to Tommy’s room. You swung open his door and chuckled lightly as he jumped.
“Hey gremlin. Dinner’s ready.”
“How come you knock on Wilbur’s and The Blade’s door but not mine? I could’ve been naked!”
“You do the same thing to me. Techno and Wil knock on my door, so I knock on theirs. Now, get down to the dining room before your food gets cold.”
He stood up to his full height and casually walked over to you. In the past year he has grown to be almost 8 inches taller than you and he didn’t show any signs of stopping any time soon. To your surprise, he shoved you to the side and sprinted out of his room.
“LAST ONE TO THE DINING ROOM HAS TO DO THE DISHES TONIGHT!”
“NOT FAIR, YOU GOT A HEAD START.”
You sprinted after him, but he was ahead of you by time you passed your other brother’s rooms. By the time you got to the top of the stairs, he was halfway down them. There was only one way you’d win. You hauled yourself over the railing of the stairs and jumped, extending your wings to slow your descent. You swiftly regained your footing and sprinted towards the kitchen with desperation. You weren’t going to do the dishes when it was Tommy’s turn; it was your night last night. You laughed in an early celebration when you neared the door to the dining room. There was no way Tommy could possibly-
You yelped as you felt your body being pulled back and a slight pain in your wings. Tommy must’ve grabbed your wings. Falling on your ass, you quickly reached to grab Tommy’s ankle to bring him down on the ground with you. He landed on his stomach with a thud as you pulled him back as hard as you could. You crawled towards the dining room door, only to feel Tommy grabbing your wings again to pull you back. Wincing as you felt some feathers being yanked out, you cursed your wings for growing to be almost larger than your body and easy to grab. You slid across the ground as Tommy pulled you back and tried to crawl into the dining room. You reached out with your other wing and started battering his head to disorient him. It worked as he stopped and you felt him trying to swat your wing away so he could see. Making haste, you crawled into the dining room.
“OI THAT’S NOT FAIR. YOU STARTED HITTING ME.”
“All’s fair in love and war, gremlin. Besides, you pulled my wings first, so you technically started it. I wasn’t about to do the dishes for you.”
“I don’t know why you are the one calling me gremlin, you’re short as hell.”
“Oi, 5’2 is average height! You all are just way too tall!”
Despite you and Tommy arguing, you both were giggling and smiling at each other. The rest of your family watched you two in amusement for a couple of minutes before Philza spoke up.
“Alright you two, dinner’s gonna get cold if you keep it up. Tommy, (y/n) won fair and square. You will also pick up the feathers you plucked out after dinner. (Y/n), don’t jump over the railing again. I understand that you can fly but still that’s dangerous.”
You both murmured “yes, Dad” before taking your seats at the table. As the dinner progressed, everyone had small side conversations about how their days were. Dinner went by faster than usual, probably because everyone was tired.
Tommy grumbled to himself as he picked up the feathers on the ground. Taking pity on him, you picked up everyone’s dishes and took them to the kitchen sink and filled it up with soapy water for Tommy. You washed and dried them by time he got done picking up your feathers. He was an annoying little gremlin, but he was your little annoying gremlin. You loved your little brother.
“...Thanks for helping me. You didn’t have to do the dishes.”
“It’s not a problem, Tommy. You already had to pick up my feathers. Er, sorry for hitting you with my wings, that probably hurt.”
He chuckled, rubbing his head. “It kinda hurt, but I deserved it for pulling out your feathers.”
You moved your wing in front of you to examine it. Only a few secondary feathers were missing, it was probably mostly your semiplume feathers he pulled out.
“You didn’t do too much damage, no worries. I’m going mining tomorrow, is there anything you need me to pick up?”
His eyes lit up. “If you find a diamond, give it to me. My jukebox broke today.”
“I gotchu. It’s getting pretty late, T. We should go to bed.”
You gestured for Tommy to follow as you started to walk back into the dining room and into the kitchen. You two made comfortable small talk as you walked back to your rooms for the night. After changing into your pajamas, you plopped onto your bed and buried yourself in your sheets. You struggled to cover your wings before giving up and leaving them to droop off the side of your bed. You really needed to ask Philza how he covered his wings, they were larger than yours so he probably had a little technique he uses.
Having wings kinda sucked sometimes. Besides not being able to cover them with a blanket easily, they didn’t fit on your bed if you wanted to stretch them out to their full length. When you were younger, your wings always fit on your bed and you would always keep them covered. But now with your wingspan being longer than your height, they were a pain to manage, especially at night. You always had to either sleep on your stomach or side and you couldn’t roll over without pulling a muscle in your wing. Because of this, it usually took you a little longer than most to fall asleep.
Your blissful slumber was interrupted by the light peeking in through your curtains. Sitting up, you stretched out your wings, smiling in satisfaction when you heard them crack. You stood up and grabbed your clothes for the day. Since you usually woke up a little earlier than your brothers, you always got first dibs on the shower after Philza. You yawned tiredly as you flicked on the water faucet and stepped into the shower. Now slightly more awake, you stepped out and started to preen your wings. Another downside to having wings is how high maintenance they are.
After taking care of the rest of your morning routine, you went down to the kitchen where Philza was sitting at the table drinking some coffee looking as dead inside as ever.
“Mornin’ Dad.”
He grunted in response. He was never a morning person, even after adopting four kids. You walked over to the chest where the food is kept and pulled out some eggs, bread, and beef. Usually, you made breakfast while Philza made dinner. You hummed a small tune as you flipped the eggs and turned over the beef sausages. One by one, your brothers joined Philza at the table and waited while you cooked.
You grabbed four plates and sets of silverware from the cabinets and put on an appropriate amount of food on each, placing them in front of your siblings and dad. You grabbed your own before joining them at the table.
“So, I’m going mining today. Is there anything you guys want me to get?”
They all chimed in with their needs. Philza wanted you to grab more iron and diamonds, Techno wanted some gold, Wilbur didn’t ask for anything, and you already knew what Tommy wanted. It sounded easy enough.
While the boys wrapped up breakfast, you excused yourself from the table and went back to your room to grab your satchel, pocket watch, iron pickaxe, and iron sword. Walking back downstairs, Philza gave you the supplies you would need today: a diamond pickaxe and a plethora of torches. “No staying out past sunset. Don’t mine down. Stay aware of your surroundings. If you see a mob, do not try to fight it, just try to run. If you get hurt, come straight home. If you get lost, follow the torches.”
“You worry about us too much.”
He sighed as he pulled you into a hug. “I just want you to be safe, hun.”
You smiled as you hugged him back and wrapped your wings around him. “I know, Dad. I’ll be safe, promise.”
“You better, or else you’re grounded,” he joked.
You chuckled as you pulled away and said goodbye to your brothers for the day. Heading out into the brisk morning, you took in a deep breath and smiled to yourself. You had a feeling that this mining trip was going to be bountiful. You spread your wings and took off into the sky.
Flying for a while, you spotted an opening in the ground. Grinning, you gradually landed before walking into the cave.
You spent hours mining precious ores, working your way deeper and deeper into the cave. You still had at least five hours before you had to start heading back to the house, so you thought going deeper wasn’t going to hurt anybody.
You hummed to yourself as you passed multiple stalagmites. This cave was seemingly never ending, you’d have to mark it on your map so you could come back to it. The mouth of the cave kept getting larger and larger until it melded into a huge, winding cavern. You’ve never been this deep before, so you were excited to explore. Being mindful of placing down torches, you explored the cavern before you came across a strange looking block you’ve never seen before.
It glowed a luminescent green as weird looking projections (tentacles maybe? Was this thing alive?) flailed about before they fell into a relaxed movement and stopped glowing. Reaching out to poke it, you cringed as it felt weirdly moist and it made a slight squelching noise. It flailed about again as it glowed. You saw movement in the corner of your eye and turned to see another one of the blocks doing the same thing. How weird.
Suddenly, the nearby lights started to flicker on and off, even your torches, as you heard a rhythmic thudding sound bounce off the walls of the cave. The thudding got louder and louder gradually as you frantically looked around for whatever it was and pulled out your sword. Hearing movement from behind you, you turned around only to freeze in fear.
What the fuck was that?

PART 2: The Game
Men are foolish to believe they have no weakness. All men have weaknesses. And even if Leon wanted desperately alcohol to be his only one, he had to admit there was another. One more pleasant and yet sometimes as hurtful and as destructive. Women. Sultry strong women. Those who steal your heart, toy with it like a cat plays with a mouse, crush it with their sharp stilettos to finally throw it back at you without an ounce of remorse or sympathy.         How many times he had fallen for those women! How many times he had hurt himself! … And asked for more.
There was possibly something rather addictive, something even rather masochist in doing so. And the fact that he was aware of it showed how stupid he truly could be.
It was a lovely night, slightly cold but starry. The fresh marine wind was blowing softly in the trees and the bursting bubbles of the hot tub massaging his tensed muscles were filling Leon’s ears with a peaceful melody he would gladly listen to for hours.         Eyes closed, he could almost imagine what it truly meant to be on holidays, what it truly meant to relax, to forget. Almost.  The truth was he could not escape Raccoon City … as he could not escape Spain, or Tall Oaks or any other place he had been, any other place he had survived, any other place he had lost. They always knew how to creep into his brain, always knew how to tie his stomach in a knot, how to make his heart heavy, sometimes –often- in moments when he was the most eager for peace of mind. They were doing it right now. They had been doing it for quite some time now. Since the bombing in DC or maybe before.
“You almost make brooding look hot, you know?” Leon immediately jumped and turned around, startled by the cheerful voice pulling him out of his dark ominous thoughts. A reflex he had acquired and sharpened over the years fighting deadly BOWs.    But when his blue eyes lay on Y/N (or Y/SN; He didn’t really know how he should call her), he relaxed and allowed his tightened lips to slightly curl into a weak but sincere smile. “Years of practice.”             “Then that explained the wrinkles on your forehead.” She approached him soundlessly, leaving the shadows in which she had been watching him, and squinted at his face, possibly trying to detail all the little aging signs carving his skin. “Is that why you’re wearing a fringe?”      “It’s not a fringe!” He replied rather offended and yet perfectly aware that she was merely teasing him the same way she had teased him in that bar a couple nights ago. But his hair was sacred! And he hated when someone was making fun of it.    Too bad his little attempt at sounding aggressive only made Y/N laugh and want to mock him a little bit more. Just for fun.            “Well, it looks like a fringe… An emo fringe.” Leon frowned and without realising it brushed his hair aside with an annoyed pout the woman found just adorable. “Wow. You’ve got two eyes. Who would have thought?”          “Are you done?” She chuckled, eyes shining with mischief as she sat on the edge of the hot tub, legs crossed so as to deliberately show her bare smooth thighs no longer hidden under the white hotel robe she was wearing.       Leon couldn’t help but gaze for a second or two, suddenly wondering how that beautiful skin would feel against his calloused fingers, around his waist. Probably amazing. Electrifying. Damn she was good! He thought. Pulling him out of his traumatising memories to throw him deep into a well of lust. Not many women could do that. And it was annoying as much as it was endearing.  “Would you like me to keep you company in there?” She offered in a voice that could not disguise the lewd seconds thoughts she had in her mind. But then again, disguising them wasn’t what she wanted. And they were both adult and experienced enough to know that a woman offering to join you in a tub wasn’t doing it to have a chat about the weather. And that was fine. Leon could use some distraction right now.       “Depends. Will you keep taunting me?” He questioned trying to resist her a little bit longer even though, for some weird reasons, watching her fingertips touch the bubbling hot water and softly caress the surface was making him suddenly aching.         It was as if he wanted his skin to be the water, as if all the things she was doing –even the one that should be innocent- were purely sensual … sexual even. Whether it was always fully voluntary of not, Leon wasn’t sure. But damn, she was surely making her way under his skin.   “Well you have to admit my little taunt got your mind of whatever you were thinking about.” She smiled and brought her fingers to wet her neck as she discreetly and proudly peeped at Leon who was observing the droplets running down her skin with dilated pupils. “You’re cleverer than what you let on.” He admitted. “Sometimes I wonder if you’re playing with me or if you’re just flirting.”          “Why not both?” Her fingers fell to the collar of her robe to slowly brush the soft fabric off her shoulders, revealing more burning naked skin that made Leon briefly fidget under the water. Was he that touch-starved? “Why not something else?” Could she hear his erratic heartbeat in his chest? His brain screaming at him just to grab her and pull her in his laps? See all his attempts at keeping his cool slowly crumbling to let the obscene fire growing in his loins take over?        Her mocking smile made Leon think she probably could.         “And what would that something else be?” He asked, curious.
He watched her take a step back. And unconsciously, he leant closer. Like a magnet. Not willing to be left alone or to let her go. And miraculously, unlike many women before her, she didn’t leave. She simply stood where she was and brought her hands to the belt around her waist.             “What do you what it to be?” And Leon stared; hypnotized again by her enticing moves he wished were quicker. “Or better question. What do you want me to be?” She unknotted the belt and let her fingers crawl back to the collar of the robe to open it slowly. The mere sight of her décolletage made Leon gulp and suddenly all his tries to keep his eyes on her beautiful face became vain as they always found their way back between her breasts. “A college student with daddy issues …” She opened the robe wider, showing more of her skin “…who’s eager to spread her legs for a married man who lost wife, kids and beagle to his best friend? Or…” more of her breasts, her rosy nipples, her belly, offering a glimpse of her young body “A very naked young woman seducing an old –clearly naked as well- emo boy in a hot tub?” The robe wasn’t covering anything that should have been covered anymore. Leon could see everything, everything enough for his cock to harden under the water and for him to thank for the bubbles hiding his arousal.           “Is that what you really are?” She entered the hot tub, towering him like a naked Venus calling to be touched. And god knows how hard it was for Leon not to touch her or to stop thinking about pressing his face against her womanhood. “That looks like what I am right now. Don’t you think?” She let herself slowly sink in the water, not taking her eyes out of him. “And that looks like something you like.” She purred and when Leon thought that she would sit on him, straddle his legs and finally feel his aching member against her… “Only a fool would not like it.”            “And you’re not a fool … Leon.” … He froze.
Leon’s eyes widened. Did he hear that right? “What did you just call me?” His tone, though tinted with surprise, had recovered its seriousness and gravitas. But it didn’t seem to unsettle the young woman before him who was still keeping her aura of sensual cheekiness.    “Isn’t that your name?” Leon frowned, wondering how she knew and what the hell her intentions were. “You know it’s hard to pretend to be someone else when your name and photo was shown on national TV barely a week ago. Leon S. Kennedy the national hero who saved America from bioterrorism yet again.”        “ So you knew all along?”    “ I call it naked truth.” She smiled proudly and he couldn’t help but laugh a little at the pun. “What? You said it yourself, I’m cleverer than what I let on.”           “ So this little game … What was it for?”  “ We can continue if that’s what you want.” She came closer to him, (colour) eyes staring deep in Leon’s own.           “ Cause we haven’t stopped playing?”     “ Well, I’m still playing.” She put a hand on his sculpted pectorals.
The contact, warm and delicate, made Leon slightly shiver and he looked at her palm slowly going down his firm chest, caressing his skin down to his carved abs, following the line of hairs below his navel until it finally reached his still hard sex  “And with what I’m feeling right there. It looks like you can still play with a little help.” He winced as he felt her delicately grab his shaft.           “ You’re impossible.” He managed to say between gritted teeth.        “ I know. You told me last time... You want me to stop?”  She murmured in his ear, her hot breath tickling him in a pleasant way.    “I didn’t say that.” His eyes found her face again but only for a short while. Soon they focused on her lips, now so close to his. “Good.”
For an instant he thought she would kiss him to eventually put an end to that game of theirs. That would have been the perfect occasion for them to finally let go to their most primal impulses. But she did not. Instead, she remained the way she was, her face a couple inches away from his, her parted lips so close to touch his and her eyes locked with his. Perfectly in control and taking an excruciating delight in watching Leon lose his composure as her hand was slowly toying with his manhood under the bubbling water. “I think you needed that.”  “ You have no idea.” A guttural moan escaped the barrier of his lips and his stomach tensed. Leon could feel his member throbbing in the girl’s grip. He was close already and not even slightly ashamed about it. That was what she wanted, wasn’t it? For him to crumble under her touch. And maybe that was what he wanted too now that he was thinking about it.          He closed in blue eyes to focus only on her, on her touch, on her hand, moving up and down in cock, again and again, on her fingers, sometimes caressing the tip, sometimes tracing the prominent veins of his shaft, slowly, oh so slowly. A pleasuring torture he almost wished would be never-ending.           “ You know, if you want me to fuck you, you should stop with that amazing hand of yours and quickly climb on top of me.” She chuckled at the sudden dirty talk and surge of confidence, happy to finally see him that way.          But as his hands grabbed her hips to bring her in his laps she purred “As much as I would love this, we still have more games to play, Agent Kennedy."
Leon's eyes opened in a flash. Flabbergasted, he felt an atrocious void and a terrible discomfort when, completely powerless, he watched the girl stand up and leave him with nothing less but a smile and a wink. But as much as he wanted to be vexed or resentful, he couldn't help but laugh, thankful that somehow she had managed to take his nightmares away for the night. Sure he had blue balls but those were the best blue balls of his life. " We sure do, Y/N"

My Amazing Little Chef
Pairing: Natasha Romanoff x fem!reader
Warnings: It gets suggestive for all of 2 seconds (but goes absolutely nowhere)
Word Count: 2.6k
Summary: You and Nat are going to have a cooking class one way or another
“Nat, c’mon, we’re going to be late!” you yelled down the hallway, shrugging a denim jacket over your shoulders.
“You always say that,” your girlfriend half-scoffed, half-whined as she slid down the hallway.
“Because we’re always late.” You tossed her her own jacket. “And be careful when you do that, you’re going to slip.”
“You’re taking all the fun out of socks, mom,” Natasha smirked. “Besides, I would never slip. Think about who you’re talking to, babe. And I don’t need a jacket,” she dismissed, throwing the piece of clothing on the couch.
“Nat,” you deadpanned, standing up after putting on your shoes, “You say this every time, and then every time you complain on the way home that you’re cold.”
“Not every time,” the redhead pouted. She gracefully slipped on one shoe while balancing on the other leg. “I only do it when it’s outrageously cold. So it’s justified.” You couldn’t help but smile at her protruding bottom lip, kissing away her pout.
“Well, it wouldn’t be ‘outrageously cold’ if you just brought a jacket like I told you to.” Natasha eyed you warily as she put on her other shoe, upset to see you grabbing the piece of clothing back from the couch. “You don’t have to wear it now, just bring it. Please? For me?” You flashed her puppy dog eyes that you knew she couldn’t resist, holding back a smirk when you could see her not-so-hard resolve crumbling.
“Fine,” she sighed.
“Yay!” you squealed, and Nat couldn’t help but grin at the little jump you did subconsciously. “Now, let’s go.”
---
“See, this is why we should’ve never moved out of the Avengers tower. Out of all days for the car to break down, this had to be it?” You rubbed your forehead as the two of you reentered your house.
“I’m sorry, babe, I know how much you were looking forward to this.” Natasha frowned as she thought about her bike, which was currently sitting somewhere in the Avengers tower so Tony could give it some “much needed upgrades.”
“Yeah,” you sighed, peeling off the denim jacket and tossing it on the same couch Natasha had thrown hers less than fifteen minutes earlier. “I just thought it’d be something fun we could do together.” Your girlfriend picked up your jacket, hanging up yours and hers in the closet before stepping closer to you to squeeze your shoulders.
“Anything I do with you is fun, malyshka,” she reassured you, pecking you on the cheek. “On the bright side, they said we could go to another cooking class whenever we want, so we can always go another day. And one of us already knows how to cook, so we won’t die of hunger,” she teased, squeezing your hips.
“Yeah, but the second I go on a mission, you’re screwed, babe.”
“You’d leave me to starve?” Nat pouted. You turned around, a full smile now on your face.
“Of course not,” you whispered, your noses now less than a centimeter away from each other. You pressed your lips to hers, allowing yourself to melt into the kiss until you heard the former assassin’s stomach growl. “Someone’s hungry,” you giggled. “And I did just say I wouldn’t let you starve…”
“You did,” Natasha murmured, trying to meet your lips again. You gave in but pulled away too quickly for her liking. “Where are you going?” You tugged on her hands, pulling her towards the kitchen. “Where are we going?”
“We are going to have this cooking class whether the car wants to work or not. C’mon, we’ll make dinner together.” You pulled a cabinet open, flipping through various recipes.
“Hm, I do like doing things with you.” Natasha tapped her chin, pretending to think over your decision.
“Shut up, you dork,” you laughed. “Go wash your hands. How do you feel about pad thai?” you suggested after pulling out the recipe, shuffling through various cabinets and pulling out all the ingredients you needed. You’d made it a couple times before, and it could be fun to make together. Plus, pad thai wasn’t hard to make—which, let’s be honest, was essential if Natasha was involved—and it was definitely a tasty option.
“Oo, you do love me.” You snorted, the corners of your lips curling up slightly.
“Let’s just hope this turns out well.”
“I’ve got the pizza place on speed dial if it doesn’t.”
“You won’t need to call them if you just listen to me,” you sang over your shoulder, thinking back to the last time the two of you had tried to cook together. You’d turned away for two seconds, during which Natasha had added baking powder instead of flour to the pizza dough. She’d insisted she’d done it correctly when you pointed out the discrepancy in ingredients. Needless to say, the pizza you ate that night was not one that was baked in your kitchen.
“Oh, be quiet, you,” Nat chuckled, smacking your ass playfully as you walked by her. You squealed, and your girlfriend couldn’t help but giggle at your reaction.
“Are my ears failing me, or did the Black Widow just giggle?”
“Y/N L/N, I swear to god, I will kill you. We are in a kitchen. With knives. I can do it.” You let out a fake gasp as you finished washing your hands, turning off the sink.
“You know where the knives are? I didn’t know you’ve been around here enough to know that!”
“Babe,” Nat whined. “You’re being mean.” You smirked at the pout that had taken over her face.
“Alright, alright. I won’t tease you anymore. Besides, something tells me that you don’t need any knives to kill me.” Natasha hummed, kissing your lips long enough for you to taste the cherry chapstick coating her lips.
“That something would be correct.”
“Softie,” you whispered before slipping away from her. “Now,” you started before she could whine again, let’s begin. So, first, you want to break that up-”
“What even is that?” Your girlfriend stared at the solid brick, her brows scrunched in confusion and mouth slightly gaping.
“It’s tamarind pulp.”
“Tamarind- wh- why do we even have this?”
“For pad thai. You can use it to make other stuff too, Natty,” you explained.
“Yeah, but it looks so…”
“So… what? Trust me, love, regardless of how you think it looks, it’ll taste good. Just break that up, yeah?”
“Okay…” Natasha gave you one last glance before following your instructions. You turned around to get some water before she could notice you smiling at the adorable look of confusion on her face.
Ten minutes and some more ingredients and mixing later, the sauce was done.
“Look, detka, I did it!” You laughed at her reaction, pressing your lips gently to her cheek in response.
“Yes, you did. But we still have a long way to- Nat, what are you doing?”
“Don’t we need to taste test it?” she asked, her mouth still wrapped around her fingers.
“I mean, I guess, but- Natty!”
“What?” she questioned, looking at you from underneath her lashes as she dipped her fingers back into the sauce. “It’s good, and I made it. Therefore, I deserve a reward.”
“You’re going to eat all the sauce before we even make the actual dish,” you whined.
“Okay, but, babe. Just taste it, it’s so good.” She stuck her fingers into your mouth before you could protest, giving you a look until you swirled your tongue around her digits, gathering up all the sauce that coated them. You sucked on her fingers with a wink before letting them go.
“You happy now?” Natasha nodded slightly.
“But wasn’t it good? That’s why I need to have more.” You grabbed her wrist before she could dip it back into the sauce.
“No more. I’m hungry, and I’d like to have my dinner the way it’s supposed to be. And no more sticking your grubby little fingers into the food.”
“Fine,” Nat sighed dramatically. “But maybe a little dessert before dinner wouldn’t hurt, would it?” she murmured, her lips now less than an inch away from your ear. “I was thinking, ba-”
“Uh oh. I’m going to stop you right there. It’s never a good thing when you’re thinking.” Natasha opened her mouth to defend herself, but you started talking before she could. “Cooking class, Nat. You’re learning how to cook. That’s it.”
“But why do I need to learn how to cook when I’ve got the best meal I could ever ask for right in front of me?” Her arms snaked around your waist only for you to hit them lightly until she let go. Face burning, you had to admit you wouldn’t mind giving in, but you had a mission of sorts to finish: make dinner with Nat without anything extraordinarily bad happening. “You don’t want me?” the spy whispered, not willing to give up so easily. Before you could respond, the room filled with the sound of her stomach growling once again.
“I always want you,” you chuckled, “But I think you want this pad thai more than you’re letting on. Can we go back to cooking now? Please?”
“I suppose,” Natasha gave in. “But you owe me.”
“I guess I’m okay with that,” you winked at her. “Now, you need to wash your hands again before you get saliva everywhere, and I’m going to cut this chicken.” Your girlfriend gave you one last kiss before obliging.
“Just be careful, baby,” she started as you picked up the knife. “I don’t need you accidentally cutting yourself.”
“I won’t, Nat,” you rolled your eyes. You had just started to cut into the meat when you heard a rushing sound and a high-pitched hum from Natasha.
“What the-”
“Huh?” You looked up from the cutting board and were rewarded by a searing pain on your middle finger.
“Ow!”
“Are you okay?” Natasha turned the water off immediately before rushing to you, hands cupping yours. “Y/N, I literally just told you not to hurt yourself.”
“I’m sorry, I got distracted! The sink made that weird noise, and I’m clumsy. I just...”
“It was just the water pressure being all weird again, hon. Look,” Nat tsked. “You sliced the skin right off. Go wash that off while I grab a bandaid,” the redhead ordered. “And I’ll be doing the rest of the cutting tonight.”
“Nat, I’m fine. I can-”
“I don’t want to hear anything more from you. You cut yourself literally ten seconds after you said you wouldn’t. No more knife privileges for you tonight. Or maybe ever.”
“Natty,” you whined, this time it being your turn to pout. “I’m in pain, and you’re my girlfriend. I don’t need you chastising me, I need you comforting me.” You finished up washing your hands and met the woman at the counter.
“Well, if you hurt yourself, I’m going to do both,” she muttered, concentrating on wrapping the bandaid around your still-bleeding appendage. When she finished, she lifted your hand gently, brushing her lips over the covered wound, her eyes never leaving yours. “Better?”
“Much.”
“Good. Now tell me how I’m supposed to cut this.”
“I guess, you’d say, what can me feel this way?” My girl...” Natasha sang along with the music as she tossed the food in the wok.
“Natty, be careful, you goof!” you giggled. Your girlfriend simply shook her head at you as she continued to sing, her hips swaying to the beat.
“My girl, my girl, my girl,” she winked. “Talkin’ ‘bout my girl, my girl!”
“Baby,” you laughed, “Pay attention to the food before it burns. You can sing later.” You turned down the volume of the speaker before Nat could get too carried away. “Okay, keep stirring the food in the wok,” you ordered. “I’ll be back in a second. Please don’t burn the house down before I get back.” You stepped away from your girlfriend for a second to grab some plates, chopped peanuts, bean sprouts, and the chicken you had cooked earlier.
“I’m not going to burn the house down,” Nat countered.
“I’m sensing some deja vu,” you warned, your back turned to your girlfriend. She simply rolled her eyes in response, taking her eyes off the wok to watch you and pushing some of the noodles out of the wok in the process.
When you turned back around seconds later, you sighed. “Natty, be careful. Look at the wok.” Upon seeing the now displaced noodles, the redhead let out a small breath as her shoulders dropped. “It’s okay, babe,” you reassured her, setting down everything before kissing her shoulder. “I would say you’ve done pretty well tonight. This is just a little slip-up. And look, no fire!”
“Yeah, no fire.”
“It’ll all be worth it when we get to eat. Speaking of which, this is almost done. You wanna go set the table, and I’ll finish this up?”
“Okay,” your girlfriend smiled. “Thank you, dorogaya.” Natasha pecked your cheek before going to grab the silverware.
“Couldn’t have done it without you, love,” you grinned, humming as you plated the dish. The sound of footsteps approached you from behind, and sure enough, Natasha wrapped her arms around your torso seconds later.
“Wow, that looks amazing. It smells even better.”
“You did that.” You brought one of your hands down and squeezed hers.
“I did do that, didn’t I? I did that,” Natasha said aloud, causing you to laugh. When you turned around, your heart melted at the look of pride on her face.
“My amazing little chef,” you praised, kissing her briefly. “Hey, Nat.” A smile grew on your lips as you got lost in your thoughts for a moment. “Do you think Tony can cook? Because if he can, do you think Pepper calls him her ‘iron chef’?” Natasha groaned at your joke.
“You’re way too cheesy, detka. And let’s keep the discussion on us. I do not need to be thinking about Tony’s love life.” Before you could turn back around to grab the food, Natasha pulled you back in for another kiss.
“Okay, okay,” you laughed when she finally let you go. “Are we going to stand here all day, or do you plan on letting us eat soon? Because I personally would like to do more than just stare at the food we made.”
“I guess we can eat,” Nat smirked as you brought the plates to the table.
---
“Hey,” you murmured, turning your face to look up at Natasha. She continued to run her fingers through your hair but shifted her gaze from her book to you. “Thanks for tonight. I had a lot of fun.”
“So did I,” Nat smiled. “Thank you for teaching me how to cook, printsessa.” You hummed for a moment before responding.
“I don’t know if I taught you how to cook. You still have a lot to learn, my young one.”
“Says the one who cut herself.”
“It was an accident! I was worried about you,” you protested. “I do hope we can go to that cooking class soon, though. Being your teacher is exhausting. No wonder Steve gets so aggravated with you during training.”
“Well, sorry,” your girlfriend scoffed, hitting your shoulder lightly. You dismissed her with a light kiss to the palm of her hand.
“It was really cute seeing you all excited and proud, though. I’d give anything to see you like that again.” Nat blushed, and you kept going. “Absolutely adorable, babe. You should’ve seen yourself.”
“Shut up and kiss me,” she finally interrupted you. “You taste like pad thai,” Nat chuckled.
“But it’s good though?”
“Mm, very good,” the redhead agreed, going back to her book.
“Like I said, it’s all thanks to my amazing little chef.”

Good Night’s Sleep | Matsuoka Rin
Pairing: Rin X Reader (gender neutral)
Genre: angst to comfort fluff
Author’s Note: it feels so nice to write fluff askdjahsd
Tumblr media
His eyes darted over to the door in nanoseconds as you stormed into the house from the oblivion night beyond the door. You threw your bag down to the ground and kicked off your shoes in frustration as you cried, your tears burning your dried eyes, ones that you kept wide and stared ahead through your journey home from your your school’s library.
You sobbed and pressed the palms of your hands to your eyes, your throat constricting, sore whenever you swallowed. You were so stressed and your eyes felt so heavy. It felt like the world was crushing you from the inside and out. Everything was dark but there was a subtle comfort you found not being able to see anything. Your back bumped into the nearest wall and you sunk down, wanting to disappear.
“Hey, what’s wrong?” Rin knelt down in front of you, his eyes scanning your body for any physical wound or injury that was inflicting such dejection into your heart. Your bright smile gone replaced with trembling lips as you let out whimpered cries, your fingers stiff and cold. “Y/N?” He gently took your wrists into his hand, his thumb rubbing the back of yours. His tone was kind to you, not pressuring you at all in any bit- he just wanted to know what was going on. While you were out at the library all day, he knew of your whereabouts and left you to your programs.
He took you into his embrace, seeping his warmth into your cool body from the outside. The two of you were in your own little world on the dim entrance of the front door, the only light coming from the lamp in the living room a short distance away. He rubbed your back lovingly, pressing his face into your head, his lips pressing long kisses to the crown of your head. Your bodies rocked back so you sat in his lap, cradled in his arms.
You took your hands away from your hands, the pressure no longer on your eyes but the burn still present. You could feel how puffy they were based on how stiff it felt to blink.
M-my codes....” you hiccuped. “I lost all my progress,” you sobbed, your voice cracking into a high pitched whine as you slumped into his shoulder, his soft red eyes looking down to you, listening, deciphering the words the best he could but it all made sense. You were a computer science major at his school and you had been swamped recently. You had spent the last couple days, getting only a few hours of sleep that were closer to naps than an actual good night’s sleep. In your program, you were assigned a monthly project that was portioned for a huge part of your semester final. He knew nothing about computers or programming or anything but what he observed from you, it was time consuming, and based on what he saw, you had to be very thorough.
“My damn laptop shorted out just before I left,” you groaned. The world felt so cruel and against you, you wanted to curl up and disappear. You wanted to desperately go back in time. You remembered vividly just sitting there and staring at your laptop for who knows how long after you tried all the methods you could and learned to get back all your progress but nothing. You had lost it all right when you were so close to finishing it early according to your plan but everything was lost- it felt like a bit of your soul was thrown out of the window, never to be seen again.
“It’ll be okay, right?” He nudged your arm, leaning his down in attempts to meet yours, strands of his red hair blocking his eyes. “You said you were close with your professor, right? I’m sure he would understand your situation, hm?” He did his best to look on the bright side for you and he was hopeful you could do something. There had been days you had come back home to him, a smile so radiant it challenged the sun itself, going on for so long about how great class was, how much your professor was able to make you love computer science and how he opened your eyes, seeing beyond the technicalities.
His words sunk in, sparking hope in you yourself as he continued rocking the two of you slowly, his body warming you up. He was most likely right- your professor was like a grandparent to you. He was one of the few that felt more than an educational guide to you and it was such a rare experience in all the years you spent in school.
“You’re so hard working, one of, if not, the best students he has right now. I’m sure he’ll give you some more time?”
You nodded as you breathed choppily, your body shaking every now and then in his hold. You had never felt so drained before but you couldn’t tell if it was from losing your progress, sleeping for only about eight hours in the past three to four nights in total, or if you were hungry, or all.
“Do you wanna eat?”
You shook your head, rubbing your nose with your sleeve, your head leaned into his shoulder, playing with a necklace that dangled around his neck you had gotten him a few years ago.
“No? How about a bath then and then sleep?” He rubbed the bottom of your back.
You nodded and that was all he needed. He intertwined his fingers with yours and led you to the living room to switch off the tv and light, leading you through the dark up the stairs to the bedroom. You kept close to him, following him, one hand holding his, the other holding the bottom edge of his shirt.
The bathroom was suddenly illuminated as he switched on the light. He turned on the water, and let the bath fill, putting just the slightest bit of soap. You leaned back on the counter, the sinks and mirror behind you. The sound of his bare feet on the tiled floor sounded as he walked from the bathroom to the closet and back again with your clothes to change into after.
“Don’t cry anymore,” he took your hand in his, squeezing it lovingly, the other brushing stray tears that came from your eyes with the back of his finger. “Please?” Whenever you were sad, it made him sad. It made him feel like the world around him had gotten gloomier to the eye and soul but it made sense since you were his world. “Come feel the water.” He led you to the tub and shut off the water and dipped his hand in. “Is this too hot?”
You dipped your hand in, sniffling, stifling a yawn at the feel of the warmness from the water. “It’s fine,” your voice just above a whisper, your body so sleepy and done with the world. You shook your head, playing with it ever so slightly.
“Alright then, I’ll be right outsi-“
“Can you stay?” You reached up and tugged on his shirt, the cotton fabric pinched between your index finger and thumb. You took him by surprise since he figured you would need some space and a bit of time to yourself, but turning back to look at you, he could feel the complete opposite of what he thought.
You stripped off your clothes and tossed them into the hamper, dipping your feet in before you sat yourself down, a thin layer of soapy bubbles concealing your body. Rin brought in a small stool and sat beside you as you leaned your head to the edge of the tub. He rested his chin on his right hand, elbow on the tub, the other dangling over the edge inside, fingers swirling with the water and bubbles.
You watched, semi-mesmerized with the way his fingers swirled, a small smile spreading on his lips seeing your eyes so focused. Now that he looked closer, he could see the bags beneath your eyes, the edges of your eyes lined with the faintest bit of red.
“You really need sleep.” He flicked the water with the tips of his fingers, poking and popping small bubbles.
“I know,” you mumbled just before you let out a big yawn, your body relaxing itself in the warm water. You reached for his hand and brought it to your face so he cupped it. You nuzzled into his touch, your heart swelling feeling his hand rub your cheek.
He helped you wash your body and massage your scalp, making you all clean and relaxed. Stepping out of the bath, he wrapped his arms holding the towel around you, drying you off. As his hands moved the towel on your body, you took the chance and leaned forward when his arms were still around you, resting your chin on his shoulder.
“Thank you, Rin,” your voice airy and small as you yawned again.
He squeezed his arms tighter into your body, lifting you up just a couple inches off the ground, smothering your cheek with his kisses. “Don’t thank me,” he mumbled into your cheek. “Now let’s get you dried and dressed, straight to bed.” Your mood brightened with his smile and loving touches. He rubbed your head and dried your hair with a towel and then hair dryer, brushing through it. You wore one of his shirts, the bottom edges of it lightly grazing your thighs as you crawled into bed, the mattress dipping to both your weights on the bed. You stretched yourself out, pushing your face into the pillows, your legs curling beneath the blanket before you turned to him, draping your leg over his, his arm around your body.
He turned himself and faced you, holding you close. You let out yet another yawn into his chest in the dark room. “Get some sleep,” he spoke into your forehead, his hand rubbing down your back, his legs now tangled with yours. He kept this going, the peaceful look of your face imprinted in his mind as he took in your features. You fell asleep in no time, letting the heaviness lift off your body, your eyes getting the much needed rest you deserved.

You Were Beautiful — Huang Renjun
Tumblr media Tumblr media
PAIRING: huang renjun x reader
GENRE: angst, breakup au
WARNINGS: none, other than the fkn heartbreak :(
SYNOPSIS: You were a novel in itself, your pages filled with words upon words of stories and little problems you ran into. Renjun felt thankful to have appeared in a few of those lines, maybe even a whole chapter filled with nothing but him. But books, too, ended eventually.
WORD COUNT: 3.5k
A/N: this one hurt ngl :D TELL ME HOW I DID? DID IT MAKE YOU FEEL? (honorary tag to @yoongistoesuwu who’s always a part of my writing process <3)
Tumblr media
The dirt under your nails never felt more uncomfortable. Your little plants stared up at you, their pale green color sickening to look at. Once standing strong and tall, they were now reduced to wilted, feeble, pathetic things. It was a terrible feeling, knowing that you neglected them and they were dying because of you.
You quietly hummed a song as you dusted your hands off and grabbed the small watering can, returning it to it’s temporary spot on the counter. The sun was low in the sky, its golden color washing over the kitchen and your skin. Its beams shone through the wide windows, barely filtered by the thin white curtain.
When you first picked this apartment, the view was one of the many things you loved about it. High above the ground, the city skyline was definitely a sight for sore eyes, especially during these hours when the clouds became an artist’s canvas, a splash of color across the horizon.
As you looked out the window and took a sip of water, the door opened behind you but you didn’t turn. You knew it was just Renjun, and you didn’t have to see him to know that he was probably in that favorite sweater of his, keys dangling from one finger and his phone in his hand.
“Hey,” he said, his voice casual.
“Hey,” you acknowledged, twisting to watch him set his keys down.
“Did you eat already?” He opened the fridge, but you already knew it was empty. He realized that fact, closing it and turning away.
You replied, “No.”
“Oh.”
That was it. He didn’t make eye contact, he didn’t come up to give you a kiss, he didn’t invite you to eat elsewhere. He walked away, probably to go sit on the bed while he scrolls through his phone and you stay in the kitchen, watching the sun bid farewell.
When the light faded completely the kitchen was dark but you didn’t bother turning on the lights. The city outside glowed lively and even in this quiet moment you could still hear the honking cars and bustling streets below, sounds you’ve grown accustomed to since moving to the city. The feeling inside you was one you’ve become all too familiar with, yet when put to words you came up blank.
You were never much of a poet anyway, not like Renjun.
The glass of water in your hands was now empty—this you discovered as you brought it back up to your lips for another sip. Sighing, you put in the sink and looked at the time. It was past ten already, how long had you been standing there? The lights outside had been so mesmerizing, so alive, you could get caught up watching other people live their lives while you forget about yours.
Eventually you slipped into bed, wincing at the stone cold sheets. You knew Renjun’s sleeping body was beside you but you pushed that notion away, closing your eyes and trying to get rid of every thought that kept you up at night. Getting good sleep these days was becoming less and less often, but you weren’t sure why.
Maybe it was the fact that the person on the other side of the bed turned his back to you every night, and you always drifted off knowing you wouldn’t wake up in his arms the next morning. At this point you felt numb, tears wouldn’t even fall from your eyes anymore, you weren’t even sure what you felt could be described as sadness or anger.
Tumblr media
The next day you squinted at your plants on the window sill, trying to determine if they looked better or worse. You supposed it was too early to tell, you barely tended to them the evening before.
Staring out the window was starting to be all too common for you and you hated it. You hated seeing the city outside, the sidewalks you used to walk with Renjun and the cafe events you would attend with him. And sometimes there would be a stray cat in an alley that would, by some miracle, let Renjun pet him. He would pull you in, his hand still grasping yours tightly, and jokingly asked if you could take it home, eyes bright like a child in a toy store. You would chuckle, shaking your head at him and reminding him that pets weren’t allowed in your apartment. Of course, he already knew that but it was a running joke between the both of you.
How you hated those big windows.
Hastily turning, you grabbed your jacket and keys before you let your thoughts wander too far. You reached out to the door but it swung open and you came face to face with Renjun who was arriving as scheduled.
He recoiled in shock and coughed awkwardly, letting go of the doorknob and relaxing his arm. “Hey, were you going somewhere?” he asked, looking away from your eyes.
You stepped back to let him in. “Um, not really,” was your answer. “Why?”
“I just—” he began, bringing up his arm to show a paper bag in his hand. “I brought some food. Thought you might be hungry.”
“Oh, okay. Let’s eat then,” you murmured, and with that he walked in, setting down the bag and slipping off his sweater. You caught a whiff of him as he walked by, the scents from outside mixing with his usual aroma. He smelled of spring rain over a jasmine field, it always reminded you of the fresh flowers the waiters at your favorite cafe used to place in each vase.
It was quiet. Too quiet.
The type of silence that had its hand wrapped around your throat, squeezing the life out of you, making you clench your fist with force.
Looking back at this scene, no one would’ve ever guessed that just a couple months ago you were engaged to this man.
The food in front of you was spread out in all its glory, just the sight of it was enough to make your mouth water. Renjun sat across from you, his head lowered as he took in the food. You noticed, looking at the logo on the bag, that it was from an unfamiliar restaurant. Your stomach growled in hunger but you didn’t eat.
You couldn’t eat. It felt strange, like you were dining with a stranger. You were conscious of every second that ticked by, every breath you took, every time Renjun moved the slightest inch. It was just too uncomfortable. Perhaps he felt the same, as he grasped his eating utensil tightly, doing nothing more than stare at the meal.
You held in a disappointed sigh, shifting in your seat awkwardly. Neither of you were big talkers anyway, but this wasn’t the comfortable silence you were accustomed to with Renjun.
“How was work?” you asked in a small voice, straightening your back when he lifted his head to look at you.
“It was fine.”
The reality of the situation was becoming too clear. Rain pattered the windows, you could hear the laugh of a passerby in the hallway, probably coming from a late Saturday party. The white, clean walls of a spacey kitchen never felt so small, so suffocating. You were like a burning match, and Renjun was the oxygen that could either blow you out or feed your flames.
By now he would’ve talked your ear off about the managers at work who seemed too demanding for his taste, or the girls that would constantly hit on him, or he would bring up the small succulent you gifted him a while ago that he took care of every day while working. You wondered about his friends and his coworkers, wondering how they were doing. He never talked about them anymore. He didn’t talk about anything anymore, in fact, not with you.
He couldn’t even look you in the eyes anymore.
You had to leave. You stood, the sound of your chair scraping across the linoleum floor harshly ripping through the thick silence. It was pouring outside but you needed to get away. Renjun didn’t move, he knew you both needed it for now. He let you walk past him, heading out the door with only your keys and phone in hand.
It was eating him inside out. You used to look at him with entire galaxies in your eyes, your smile that lit the world brighter than Renjun had ever seen. It was on rainy nights like this that he would take you out to the park and you would sit on a bench, sharing the same umbrella but getting soaked anyway. You would both chuckle at the people running by, hurrying to get some shelter in the cold rain and he would wrap his arm around you, pulling you in so close. The pleasant feeling in your chest was warmer than any jacket you’ve ever worn.
The stars would fall mercy at your feet, for you shined brighter than any of them. Renjun could spend hours painting you, just you. The dainty way your hand held his, the lips that whispered sleepy “l love you’s” every morning, your luscious hair that would tickle him from time to time. And when you laughed, Renjun loved you even more then. Even if it was a quiet, content laugh, or a loud chortle that left you breathless, he could never get enough of it.
It was so cliché but Renjun used to love you like that.
Tumblr media
The following day was equally as bleak as the one before.
You stood by the window once again, watching the raindrops race to the bottom of the glass, remembering the times you did that as a child, betting with yourself to see which one made it down first.
This time the sun was nowhere to be seen, obscured by the heavy gray clouds that cried tears. Fog covered the buildings outside like a morbid blanket, and you could feel the chilly air seeping in through the glass when you placed your fingertips on it.
Today was your anniversary with Renjun, and you could only hope that something good came out of the dinner you prepared.
You took your time waiting in the kitchen, watering your flora who were also looking a bit brighter even without the sun. Smiling as you looked down at them, thinking about how they were something to look forward to in your black and white world.
Glancing at the time, you noticed it was getting a bit late, but that was a lie. You were getting ahead of yourself. Renjun was usually on time, arriving around 7:30 pm, and it was barely 7:50. You hoped he didn’t forget what day it was because it would make things even more awkward.
Just as you were placing the last plate on the table, the door opened and Renjun entered, his trademark sweater on and keys in hand. At least that was one thing about him that never changed.
He saw what you had prepared and, for the first time in a while, you saw a small smile on his face. Before you could greet him, he held out his hand, a little flower peeking out from his grasp.
“Happy anniversary,” he said softly.
Your heart sank. It was a single jasmine blossom, a flower that used to be your favorite.
Used to be.
You wouldn’t put it against Renjun for not knowing how much you despised that flower now, hating the sickly sweet smell that drove your anxiety up the wall.
Renjun smelled of spring rain over a jasmine field.
Nonetheless, you plucked the flower from his hand and inhaled its scent, ignoring the way it made your stomach churn as you gently smiled at him. “Happy anniversary,” you repeated, struggling to keep your smile bright. “I made dinner.”
Once the both of you sat down, you tapped your fingers on the table, contemplating if you should fight the silence or let it win again today. Renjun seemed to be deep in thought as well, his hands folded on his lap and his brows furrowed in that way they do when he’s focused on something. His eyes were fixated on your restless hand, and you couldn’t help but assume he was staring at the empty spot where your ring used to be. You clenched your fist and retracted it, mirroring his pose with your hands in your lap. Renjun shook out of his daze and pursed his lips, stabbing at the food on his plate.
“Why are we even doing this?” you spoke, your voice a bit wobbly.
Renjun didn’t even have to ask to know what you were talking about, yet he still felt his heart squeeze at your question. “I don’t know.”
“We’re basically roommates, Renjun. We’re two people that live in the same house but never interact. Why do we keep doing this?” The volume of your voice escalated desperately, and you searched him for an answer but he didn’t look up.
“I don’t know!” he blurted out forcefully.
You pushed your plate away, your appetite suddenly gone. “I don’t think we can make this work anymore.” He stayed silent while you continued. “I’m miserable—we both are.”
The truth was Renjun was afraid of letting you go. He was afraid of coming home to an empty house, of sleeping in an empty bed, of having no one to console him when he was upset. You and him used to live in harmony at some point, a routine where you would understand each other and work together. He’d grown so used to you, the idea of you, that he felt sick thinking of a life without you.
He was afraid of being alone.
Outside the rain came down in waves. It pounded on the window, asking for attention while you waited for Renjun to say something.
He didn’t.
Instead, the sky roared with thunder and a faroff bolt of lightning struck the ground, lighting up the world momentarily. The lightbulb above you flickered once then gave out, as did the rest of the light sources throughout the kitchen. The refrigerator stopped humming, the AC stopped clicking, and the numbers on the microwave faded away, leaving you to stare at your ex-fiancé in the dark.
Renjun couldn’t stand the way you looked at him anymore. Though some of the light in your eyes had faded, they were still filled with hope and trust. At the end of the day you continued to wait for him with open arms. He felt undeserving of your love.
You left the table first, the food laying untouched while Renjun let you walk away again. If he had anything to say in that moment, it stayed painfully lodged in his throat, his own pride choking him up.
A couple months ago, your first fights were terrible. You both raised your voices, ignored each other, even refused to sleep in the same bed (Renjun would stay with a friend when it got bad). He never liked thinking about those times, regretting each and every word he ever directed at you and hating the pain in your expression after. He especially disliked recalling the tears in your eyes when you slid the diamond ring off your finger and placed it in his palm.
After silently clearing the table and checking the breakers, Renjun found his way to the bedroom in the dark, seeing your curled up form under the covers. He didn’t acknowledge you as he slid in next to you, turning his back like always and pulling the covers up to his chin, careful not to pull your side too much.
He closed his eyes but did not sleep, his thoughts running too rampant to let him. Even if he did sleep, he dreamt only of you. Of when you first met, of your first date, of the day he got on one knee and asked for your hand. He could never forget the happiness in your voice, the jubilant smile you wore beautifully.
“Renjun,” he heard you whisper into the inky bedroom, the sound just loud enough for him to hear. “I’m cold.”
It was anything but cold under the blankets, but Renjun did feel chilled, hollow. Like he was disconnected from his body somehow. “I know,” he replied quietly. “Me too.”
You didn’t respond but he turned, cautiously putting his arm around you and you let him, tears springing to your eyes. It had been a while since you laid in this position with him, you nestled in his chest while he buried his nose in your neck or hair and he was so close you could feel each breath he took. It felt strange yet familiar, like that sense of déjà vu you get when it feels like you already went through something. But maybe your brain conjured up this bittersweet dream, maybe this reality was just in your head.
Maybe Renjun would still love you when you woke up.
Tumblr media
“Your flowers are dead.”
Renjun stood by the window, a dry, wilted leaf resting on his finger. He studied it for a moment, and then let it go. It crumbled to pieces.
“I don’t care about them anymore,” you voiced. “It took me too much effort to keep them alive.”
He nodded in understanding, though he knew those plants meant a lot to you. Sometimes on days when you were tired, he’d remind you to water them or even do it himself. Not once had your flowers ever looked the way they did now—dull, withered, dead.
A long, painful beat of silence passed. Renjun gazed out the window, taking in the familiar sun that hasn’t shown itself in days. The heavy clouds had finally lifted that day, revealing a fading orange and red sky. You watched him from the counter, the way the golden light bounced off his skin, creating a heavenly, ethereal glow. The silver bracelet he wore on his wrist reflected the beams, projecting them onto the ceiling above.
You looked down, away from the man who you promised your life to once upon a time. A million thoughts raced through your head, too cryptic to comprehend. All you knew was that whatever you and Renjun had hurt too much to keep going. Clenching your fist, you braced yourself for your next words.
“Let’s end this Renjun.”
For once, he turned to look at you, his eyes dry of tears but filled with pain. Every fiber of his being screamed for you, to be happy in your arms again, to hear the words ‘my love’ fall from your lips one more time. He bit his lip and pushed down those longing thoughts, the ones that were on his mind far too much these days.
He made the hardest decision of his life—he chose to let go of you. On that day, that minute, that split second, he looked into your eyes and knew it was the end of a love story.
Renjun knew he loved you, but he fell out of love with you a long time ago.
You were once his morning and night sky, his sunflower fields, his walk in the clouds. Whoever the creator was smiled upon you, blessing you with a kind of spirit that brought peace and adventure at the same time. Being with you felt like an impulsive car ride along the coastline, the wind blowing your hair wildly, screaming and throwing your arms up as if it was a rollercoaster ride. Or like a lazy afternoon, sleeping the whole day while the sun made its path across the sky, only being woken up by kisses and giggles and legs tangled in the bedsheets.
Beyond your monotonous life were other people also moving on. Friends came and went, that random stranger you saw on the street you would probably never see again, enjoying an unfamiliar song in a cafe that would slip your mind as soon as you left. People lived, people died, but the world kept revolving, never stopping, never giving anyone a break.
That was the beauty of it.
Renjun didn’t feel angry or sad or even bitter. He was thankful. He was thankful for the countless moments spent with you, for all the laughs and tears you shared, for the quiet and loud moments, for the breath of air you were to him. You were a novel in itself, your pages filled with words upon words of stories and little problems you ran into. Renjun felt thankful to have appeared in a few of those lines, maybe even a whole chapter filled with nothing but him.
But books, too, ended eventually.
The last blow to his heart was when he looked back, seeing you standing in the doorway with a wounded expression. The windows behind you were as translucent as ever, pouring light over your perfect form. Your hair flared brightly from the orange backlight and you leaned on the frame, one second away from screaming at him to come back.
He considered returning, mumbling an ‘I’m sorry, I love you,’ but that would only delay the inevitable, not stop it. At the end of the day, it was still over. But it was okay, because looking back now at all the love you used to share, he realized it was beautiful.
You were beautiful.

Tumblr media
ever so slowly, you felt your eyelids shutting. it was getting late and you were getting tired. it was understandable that he was an executive member, and that they were to attend any meeting that was organized; however, you never understood why they were so damn long. the alcohol you had been drinking was beginning to sink into your system, the feeling of exhaustion washing over you- it was too much for you to fight back. there's nothing wring with having a little nap, you thought, he probably won't be back for another 45 minutes or so. Finally giving in, you allowed your body to indulge into your sleepy sensations and drift off to sleep.
not even 10 minutes into your cat nap, a white hooded figure pushed your room door open and stepped inside. your vision was hazy so you couldn't make out their facial features, and you were far too tired for your body to react in a panic. your senses had not yet awakened, and you weren't bothered to hear the faint noises they made. that is, until they began to speak.
"fallen asleep already? sweet."
your eyes snapped open, and your limps stirred from their stiff form. the deep voice that rang in your ears brought a sense of relief yet excitement to you.
"you're finally back," you replied arching your brow
chishiya removed his hood and flip flops before sauntering towards you.
"yeah, something came up and things are....out of the ordinary let's say."
"this whole fucking thing is 'out of the ordinary'" you snapped back, raising your digits to make air quotes.
instead of replying, he hauled himself onto the bed next to your form, causing it to shift ever so slightly. lifting his hand to your jaw he said in a sultry voice.
"so you missed me that much huh, baby?"
damn him. he wasnt even trying, yet he knew how to get you worked up in the simplest of ways. but you weren't giving in. not tonight.
you tilted your head away from him, averting your gaze to a painting of an elegant woman. you didnt want to make things awkward though, so you attempted minimal conversation.
"did the militants give you any trouble?"
you heard nothing for a second, then he answered.
"please, they're too idiotic. even if they did do something to hurt me or any of the exclusive members, they wouldn't have thought it through and that would only cause more chaos to surface."
you smiled. there was just something about his cockiness that made him so attractive. the way his brain worked, hell, even the way he spoke. didn't know how you managed to claim him as yours, but you weren't complaining.
"what about you?" his gravelly voice filling your room
you sighed. his life was more interesting than yours by far and you kinda wished that something would come up to you.
"no. just seeing people feeling each other up, alcoholics being stupid- you know, the usual stuff."
forgetting about what you had told yourself, you chanced a glance at him; but as if on cue, his eyes met yours. you stiffened. this was the first time you got a proper look at him and he looked hot.
his silver hair swept across his face perfectly covering a little section of his feline eyes. his brown orbs looked so cold and you find yourseld getting lost in them every time you look at them. his lips, so luscious as if they were made to be kissed. your faced inched closer to his involuntarily.
you were swimming in dangerous waters now, and whatever move that you or chishiya made could most likely cause you to drown. but you were getting tired. you wanted him and you couldn't stand him and his silent teasing.
you pushed your lips onto his and waited. you felt him chuckle before his hands cup your cheeks. his lips shifted causing a pleasant harmony between the two of you.
as the seconds went by, the deeper the kiss got. chishiya maneuvered his tongue into your mouth. you were distracted by his wet muscle so you were caught off guard when one of curled around your neck. you gasped at the sudden lack of oxygen and he took this opportunity to start painting purple and pink flowers on your collar bone.
he laughed and airy laugh and said, "i was waiting to see how long you'd last. i could see the need in your eyes."
he removed his hand from your neck, and you took a deep inhale.
"you're so cocky, you know that?" you panted, unbuttoning your shirt.
chishiya rolled on top of you and smirked, making you feel small. "mhm, but you love that shit."
once your shirt was removed he lowered himself to your stomach and began to kiss down it your breathing begame ragged and you tried to compose yourself. it wasn't exactly effective though.
you were about to loose yourself when his actions came to a complete stop. you remained still for a split second before arching your neck to look at him. he blinked a couple of times before removing his face drom your middle.
his expression was unreadable, but it almost looked like he had forgotten something.
then, all to quickly he got off the bed and was putting on his flip flops.
"ch-chishiya," you stammered, still recovering,"where are you going?"
"i have to take care of something. i'm sorry y/n."
you let out a groan of frustration. for fuck's sake.
"when will you be back?"
chishiya didnt respond for a moment and stared at the door, keys in hand. he was thinking.
"not until later tonight," he began, grabbing a handheld transceiver, "you'll have to leave soon too. get dressed and be downstairs in about five minutes."
he wasn't going to lie, chishiya felt bad for leaving you hanging like that, but he had a job to attend to. so, as a way of apologizing, he rushed over to you and pressed his lips on your forhead.
even if he did make you agitated at times, you still loved him and couldnt ignore the fact that he was a sweet man. watching him leave your room pained you, but you got up to get dressed anyways.
yes, your boyfriend seemed unbothered about the whole situation, but you didnt keep your mind from wondering about what secrets lie within the beach

“Take the day. Nothing’s going on here and we don’t have any cases for once.”
You tuck the phone under your chin as you pack the last of the kids’ lunches. “Really?”
Emily’s smile is audible through the phone. “Really. It’s Friday, and isn’t Hotch out today?”
“Yeah, but mostly just to avoid the meetings with -”
Just then, Jack rockets down the stairs, throws his backpack over his shoulder, and grabs his lunch off the counter. With a kiss to your cheek, he jets out the door with a quick, “Bye, Mom!”
You blink rapidly, kind of taken aback by the abrupt nature of his departure. He can drive himself to school now, but he doesn’t always take advantage of it.
“Sorry, Em. Jack just left for school like a damn tornado and I gotta get Isaac out of bed.”
She laughs. “No worries. Swing by my office when you drop the girls at preschool. I’ve got a couple of things for Aaron.”
+++
When you return, the house is eerily quiet.
You toe off your shoes and round the corner to the office with an armful of files in your hand.
Unceremoniously, you drop them on his desk. “These are from Emily.”
He huffs a laugh through his nose without looking up. “Thanks.”
With a sly little smile, you leave him to his work.
Padding across the hall to the master bedroom, you light the fireplace and replace your winter clothes with one of his dress shirts, two buttons holding it closed over the middle of your abdomen, and a pair of fuzzy socks.
You’re grateful for the central heating in the house. You’d never be able to pull this off without it.
After you sneak into the kitchen for a glass of water (you know - the ruse of usefulness), you return to him and place the water next to his left hand. He hardly looks up but mutters his thanks under his breath.
You take your time leaving the office, just reaching the door when you hear, “Wait, hey. Whoa. Back up.”
You don’t follow instructions, walking out of his office and into the kitchen, making play at putting lunch together.
A pair of familiar hands slide up your thighs and underneath the shirt.
“Is this mine?”
You hum in the affirmative. “Thought you’d like it. It looks good on you so I figured it would look alright on me.”
“Uh huh. Yeah, well, if those were the rules I’d have to hand over my entire wardrobe.” Aaron spins you and presses you back into the island, your back arching as he crowds closer to you, his mouth hovering over your neck. “You look better in my clothes than I do.”
You hum again, but your brain is too fuzzy to come up with a retort. He laves kisses over your neck, dropping to your collarbone and brushing his shirt off your shoulder. You decide in that moment to let go, relaxing back into the counter and giving him implicit permission to have his way with you.
“Yeah?” He asks, feeling you sink back.
You nod, bringing your hand to his hair and pulling him to your lips. “Yeah.”
With a dark laugh, he turns you around again and snags your hands, pressing them to the cold granite countertop. You’re stretched taut, your legs already shaking with anticipation.
His hands slide up your arms and over your back, the starched fabric of his dress shirt a delicious texture over your skin. He reaches your hips, his hands wandering under the hem of his shirt and hooking his fingers in the fabric of your underwear, practically tearing them over your ass and down your legs. You step out of them and he nudges them out of the way.
He kicks your feet apart at the ankles, spreading your legs and forcing your back into a gentle arch.
A perk of law enforcement training - some moves translate well in the bedroom.
Or the kitchen.
You hear him unbutton his jeans and free himself, not even pretending the last half-hour hasn’t been its own kind of foreplay. An empty house is practically an open invitation at this point.
He runs the head of his cock through your folds, pressing against your clit with every pass. You drop your forehead to the countertop with a whine, letting the cool temperature soothe your heated skin.
Aaron doesn’t quit rutting against your wetness, only just teasing your entrance before sliding up to your clit again. From experience, you know he could theoretically do this for hours, waiting for you to get desperate, squirmy, and whiney.
It’s working. You wiggle back against him, but his hands cover yours with a smack as he shushes you, his hips pressing yours flush against the edge of the counter. You’re sure the granite against you would hurt if it wasn’t so hot.
“What do you think you’re doing?” He asks, low and soft in your ear.
You swallow as his lips wander over your neck and shoulder. “I want you.”
He hums in understanding, sucking bruises along the line of your shoulder blade. “Do you trust me?”
“Yes.” Your answer is breathless, and you shove your fingers between his from underneath, holding on as best you can.
“Do you know how good you look in my shirt and nothing else?”
You nod.
“Do you know what it does to me when you look like that? My wife in my clothes?”
You don’t answer, knowing it’ll only pay off for you. He lets go of your hands and grips your hips, yanking you back toward him. It’s only an inch or so, but you can feel his cock pressed against you, the cold metal buttons against your ass, the coarse feeling of his jeans against the skin of your thighs.
“Do you want me to show you what it does to me? What you do to me?”
You swallow and nod, pressing your chest into the counter, bracing yourself. “Yes.”
He lines himself up with your entrance, plenty slick with your arousal - you’re practically dripping, soaking your thighs and the apex of your legs.
Aaron slams into your heat, all the way to your cervix, with a searing kiss pressed to the middle of your back to smother his groan. You cry out from deep in your chest, drawing it out as he pulls back, dragging against your walls before filling you again, his hips audibly making contact with your ass.
It’s rare you get a chance like this. Even at night, with the kids’ rooms upstairs, you have to be relatively quiet. Aaron, when he really lets go, can get loud, and so can you, with his encouragement. So, needless to say, your opportunities are few and far between.
A steady stream of curses leave him through gritted teeth, watching his own hands pull you onto and push you off of his cock, bottoming out every time.
You’re not even sure what noises you’re making, but there are a lot of them. You unstick your palms from the granite, reaching around to press your fingertips into the part of Aaron’s hip you can find.
He leaves you then, falling out of your reach as he pulls out and turns you around again.
Suddenly, you’re over his shoulder in a fireman’s carry.
How does he do that?
The smell of his body wash from his morning shower lingers in the air as he brings you into the bedroom, dropping to his knees on the soft rug in front of the lit fireplace.
He supports your shoulders as he tips you backwards, sealing your lips in a searing kiss. Your hands are in his hair, more for the feeling of it than for support.
The plush rug is warm from the fire, a stark contrast to the cool kitchen island. His weight on top of you seems to sink right into your bones, a feeling of safety and love soaking into your skin.
Much to your chagrin, he’s still fully clothed, his pants loose around his hips and his shirt hiked up to his ribs. You find the hem and separate yourself from his mouth only long enough to yank it over his head and throw it toward the bed.
He laughs into his next kisses, but it turns into a sigh as your hands run over his sides, pressing firmly into his waist, before dragging up his back and back into his hair.
“Are you gonna let me go?” He asks against your mouth.
You shake your head. “Don’t wanna.”
He laughs, tipping your head back and peppering kisses to your jaw and neck. “Fine.”
His kisses meander down, nosing a path past the collar and buttons of his shirt on his way to your chest. He pauses at your breasts, drawing patterns with his tongue until you’re taut and puckered under his touch.
His hands follow his mouth, unbuttoning the two buttons you’d done up to play at modesty, soothing circles into your skin with his thumbs. He reaches your hips and scoops your legs onto his shoulders, kissing a path down the creases of your thighs.
When he finally wraps his lips around your clit, your hips buck into him. He laughs, sending a buzz up your spine, and locks your hips in his hands, holding you securely to his mouth.
You resist the urge to bring your hand to your face, letting your whimpers and groans leave you at full volume. One hand finds a home in his hair while the other claws at the carpet. He could probably eat you out in his sleep at this point, what with the way he knows the pace, the pattern, the pressure you like. He’s consistent but never boring, always managing to lull you into a dull hum of pleasure, your legs shaking under his hands, before pulling something that makes you jump and whine.
His warm breath fans across your lower belly, keeping him centered as he flicks his tongue against your clit, dipping lower to your entrance, sliding back. He sucks your inner lips into his mouth, letting them go with obscene, wet pop before pulling your clit back into his mouth, feasting on you like a man starved.
You clench around nothing, desperate for him to fill you with anything, anything to ease the want that courses through you. There might be a moment when you ask for something, but you’re not entirely sure.
He chuckles, a dark and smug sound, but only continues until your center starts to throb, shocking your body with pleasure all the way to your fingertips. Aaron can feel it too, running his hand up your abdomen, reminding you to relax.
You take the note, slowing your breath and relaxing into the floor. Your grip in Aaron’s hair doesn’t budge, tight and close to the root.
He’s determined to get you off with his mouth alone, his fingers digging deeper into your hips to keep himself on track.
The pulse of your walls continues until the tension crawls into the rest of your body. Your shoulders pull away from the rug as your body curls forward, your hips stuttering even under Aaron’s firm grip. Both of your hands wind into his hair and you fall over the edge, chanting his name.
Your upper body twists, your cheek against the plush carpet as you convulse under his continuing ministrations. Your hips are still locked to the floor under his hands, braced by his shoulders and held by his mouth. You can feel his smile as he rides it out with you, backing off on the pressure as pleasure rolls through you in violent, overwhelming waves.
Your jaw seems to be stuck open, your eyes wide as you stare into nothing. Aaron slows, the strokes of his tongue long and drawn-out against the length of your sex, before stopping entirely, pressing a kiss right above your clit.
He crawls up your body, keeping some of his weight on you as he finds your lips again. You’re still boneless, catching your breath, shaking, and experiencing little shockwaves that irregularly catch your abs.
With that in mind, you can hardly kiss him back - instead, passively letting him smother you in affection, vaguely processing the fact you can taste yourself on his tongue. You wrap your ankles around his lower back, and he finally sheds his jeans and boxer briefs.
“You good?” He asks.
You nod. “Mhmm.” You reach between your bodies and stroke him a couple of times. “Gimme.”
He laughs out loud then, kissing you soundly as he slides home.
You whimper into his mouth, your overheated flesh alive with sensation as he rocks into you, nearly frictionless. He holds you tight, his hand splayed across your shoulders underneath the shirt you’re still (somehow) wearing.
You let your mind wander a little, combing through Aaron’s hair with your fingers and tucking your face into his neck.
It’s been ten years with him, almost exactly. You’re a far cry from the person you were then, and you think maybe Aaron is a different man, too.
Not where it counts though. He’ll always be that chronically-stressed, endlessly-dedicated tightass who thinks too much and speaks too little. If anyone asked, he’s still the smartest, warmest man you know. Privately, you know he’s also the dumbest invulnerable moron who ever drew breath.
That makes you laugh, and you wrap your arms further around him. He doesn’t stop, but cranes his neck to look at you.
“What?”
You shake your head, bringing your hands to the sides of his face, pressing a kiss to his lips. “Just thinking about you.”
He laughs a little breathlessly, his head tilting sardonically to the side as he snaps his hips to yours, making you jump and clench around him. “I’d hope so.”
Flipping onto his back, he pulls you on top of him and has the audacity to wink at you.
The pair of you giggle and laugh your way to your destination. His laughing smothers his curses as he cums, fucking up into you and holding you flush to him by the hips. You follow him by scant seconds, bracing yourself on his chest as you drag out your orgasm, enjoying the rush and the laughter and just being together.
When you both completely run out of steam, you lift yourself off of him and tip sideways, landing flat on your back out on the rug.
This poor thing has seen more use today than in its entire lifetime.
You roll over after a second, propping your head on your elbow. Aaron mirrors you, meeting your eyes.
“That was fun,” he says.
You nod, bringing your hand to the graying hair at his temple. “Don’t get too many chances for this kind of fun anymore, huh?”
He sighs and pulls your hand from his hair, kissing your palm and folding your hand in his. “No, we don’t, but it’s…” He thinks for a moment. “It’s nice to appreciate it more than we used to.”
“Yeah.”
+++
You twist back and forth on the barstool, watching Aaron slice an apple and some strawberries. You both did away with the lunch idea, deciding it was too much work to put something together.
It feels awfully like your first weekend together, the only differences are in the scenery. Even the wardrobe is similar. You’re in the shirt he started in, not much else, and he’s in his jeans, shirtless and barefoot.
It’s nice to see him wandering around with a kind of carelessness. You’re not sure any of the little ones have seen him without a shirt, not for any real length of time that they would remember. He told you once that he doesn’t want to scare them.
You reminded him that this is their normal, too. They’ve never known him without the scars so they’ll always know him with them. The little ones don’t know to be scared.
Still, he’s careful.
It’s a work in progress.
“What were you thinking about before?” He asks, rounding the island. He goes to lean on it, but hesitates. “We have to wipe down the counter.”
You snort and take the plate from him, headed for the living room. “It’s been ten years and you’ve never changed.”
He rolls his eyes and follows you, sitting down in his chair so you can sit in his lap, the plate of fruit on the coffee table. “Is predictable so bad?”
“No,” you reply, your eyebrows raised. “I was just answering your question.”
He huffs a laugh down his nose. “You haven’t changed, either, for the record.”
“Is that a good thing?”
With a smile, he pulls you gently by the side of the head, tucking you under his chin. “It’s a very good thing.” Then, almost inaudibly -

Remember Me Part 2
Tumblr media
Previous Part <——-->Next Part
Bucky Barnes x Reader Word Count: 4.1k
Warnings: SMUT and everything that comes with it, Talk of death and murder, violence, guns, brainwashing, sleazy billionaires (eat the rich)
A/N: I have had so much fun with this, give your opinions in the comments
They lied, there was no new mission tomorrow. I stayed locked in that dark little cell that they called my room. It was somewhat comfortable, they had to keep me Poole that so I would be able to keep myself in peak shape. A soldier is no good if they’re sick and in pain. There were sparse books, guides like The Art of War, or the vile words of Mein Kampf. I didn’t like the second one at all. The views were absolutely disgusting, but It made some sort of sense that it was there. I remember vaguely hearing about how Hydra was part of Nazi Germany. Although I couldn’t quite remember what that was, I knew it was bad, because that was what the book itself was about.
The walls were made of cement, the floors lined with corrugated metal. There was a metal bed frame in the corner, with a mattress, pillow, and blanket. Just enough to keep me comfortable. There was a desk in the other corner, simple metal table and chair, but nothing on it or in it. It was simply a place to fill out my mission reports. In the back was a door that lead to a small shower, toilet, and sink. Finally, a punching bag hung from the ceiling on the same side as the bed. I had been in this room for so long that I had memorized every inch of it.
It was difficult to tell how long I had been in here. The only clue to how long was the wall of carved tally marks, at least 20,000, give or take. They never actually gave me a calendar or anything to keep track of time, instead, I tracked it on mealtimes.
It had been about three weeks this time, complete with twenty two new tallies added to the wall. They pulled me out of the room after breakfast, restraining me by walking me with each of my arms held still. I had hope that he would be on this assignment, and as the door opened, a wave of relief hit me. My expression stayed stoic, unreadable. His face was the same, no emotion, no hint of what he did or did not remember. I was pushed into the seat next to him. He didn’t look at me, simply looking forward at the metal desk in front of us.
Pierce finally walked in the door. This must be a high profile mission if he’s here. Two folders were placed in front of us. We each opened our respective files, detailing the mission, even though Pierce began to explain.
“The two of you will be going on and undercover find and kill mission. You will be attending a charity gala for Rosenthal Industries, a former business partner of ours. Caleb Rosenthal will be attending the event. Your job is to get him alone, inject him with the neuro-agent, and make sure he’s dead. Your covers are listed in the file.” I nodded that I understood the mission, and so did Bucky.
The two of us were monitored during the car ride. We were meant to stay in the back while someone else drove the car. The entire ride was silent, the two of us trading glances at each other as we went over our respective files.
We were yet again set up as a couple, but we were meant to have some sort of agreement, an open marriage sort of situation. They were sending me to seduce the young Rosenthal, and get him alone. It was something that I had done millions of times it felt, but this mission was different. There was a more important objective at play, escape.
The minute we were given a room, we looked everywhere, analyzing and checking every item of the room for bugs or cameras. Once we confirmed there were none, I walked over to Bucky.
“What do you remember?” I asked, looking him dead in the eyes. I watched as the facade melted away from his face, the emotionless and cold look being replaced with a smile and adoring eyes.
I pulled his face down to me, pressing my lips to his. I tried to keep control, but it didnt last for long, as an arm snaked around my waist, the cold metal pushing up my shirt slightly to make contact with my skin. I gasped from the sensation, and he took the opportunity to deepen the kiss.
I felt the strain in my lungs, and broke the kiss, looking right back up at him.
“I know its been three weeks, but we only have three hours till the charity gala, and we both have to look presentable.” An idea popped into his head evident by the smirk appearing on his face.
“I mean, we definitely should take a shower first,” He said, hands moving up and down my sides.
“It’s probably a bad idea, but you are too good to pass up.” I yelped as my legs were sweeped out under me, Bucky carrying me through the air into the hotel bathroom.
Since we had to have a higher profile for this mission, the hotel room was much nicer than usual. The biggest excitement had to be the massive shower, more than big enough for the two of us. He put me down on the marble sink countertop, practically ripping his suit jacket and shirt off. My hands reached for his chest as he began to undo the buttons on my maroon dress shirt. Once the offending fabric was gone, he moved on to the rest of my clothing, ridding the both of us of any clothing that we had been wearing.
I whined at the cold as he left to go and start the shower, making sure that it was the right temperature. I didn’t want to wait for him to come back over to me, so I walked over to the shower, wrapping my arms around him from behind as he tested the water. I wanted to stay like that forever, simply cuddling myself into his back, the warmth of his body in contact with my cold skin. He began to turn and face me, and i loosened my grip so I could keep my arms around him.
“Doll, are you going to let go or are the two of us going to have to shuffle out way into the shower?” I pouted, but complied as he pulled me into the deliciously hot water.
“I missed you so much, Y/N,” His hands grazed their way down and up me like they did before. I tangled my hand into Bucky’s hair, pulling his lips onto mine. I had no patience at this point, and neither did he, the kiss rough and passionate as I was backed into the wall of the shower. His mouth began to move from my mouth, trailing lower and lower. I felt the warmth of his tongue swirling around my nipple, and a gasp broke free from my lips. The smooth of his metal fingers toyed with the other, making me throw my head back into the tile of the shower.
“Fuck, keep makin those noises, doll.” His mouth moved away, trailing even lower, leaving kisses on my hips. He looked up at me, his eyes once again scanning mine for any hint of hesitation. Even through everything, he was still so kind, so sweet and concerned for me, it made me fall in love with him all over again. I was so distracted by my own sappy thoughts, that Bucky got the jump on me, licking one broad stripe up my pussy, nearly knocking the wind out of my lungs with how much I needed him. My hands flew to his hair, tangling into the long locks and pulling him closer. He moaned, sending vibrations straight to my clit, which only made me cry out and pull harder.
“Fuck, Bucky, please!” I could feel that knot that continued to tighten in my stomach. My hips began to try and move on their own, but Bucky’s hands pinned me to the tile wall so I couldn’t. I was pulled out of my trance as I felt two cold fingers slip inside of me.
I screamed his name out as his fingers began curling and pressing against the sweet spot inside of me, the combination of both his mouth and his fingers finally pushing me over the edge.
Buck held me down, helping me through my orgasm, holding my hips so I wouldn’t fall, and licking up every drop of my cum until he was satisfied. He finally stood up, making sure to hold me up so my legs wouldn’t give out from under me, his flesh hand pushing my chin up so he could look at me. My hands reached out to grab his cock, wanting him to get something out of this too, but he pushed them away.
“Not today, Doll, we gotta actually shower now, like you said, remember?” I groaned, but I knew that he was right. We had a mission to prepare for, and a plan to enact. Still holding me up, he moved me into the jets of water coming from the shower head. The hot water hit the back of my neck nicely, as Bucky squeezed out some of the soap into my hand. It felt like his hands were everywhere, assisting me with washing every bit and piece of me. Once I was finally able to stand on my own, he moved to get the shampoo, telling me to turn around and step out of the water.
He stood behind me, his hands in my hair, making sure that every single bit had been properly shampooed. I couldn’t help but sigh as his fingers worked the bubbles into the roots of my hair. Once he was finished, I stepped back under the water, as he aided in the washing away of all the shampoo and suds for one last time before the two of us switched places.
Although I knew that we had to go quickly, we, more like I, needed the time to get ready for the gala, but how could I not take the chance that I had been given to enjoy what he looked like, being able to simply move my hands over his chest, spreading the now foamy soap across his body. I moved my hands across every part of him, making sure he was perfectly clean for the gala. Once I got to putting the shampoo in his hair, I noticed a bit of a problem. Although I wasn’t the shortest person in the world, Bucky was still much taller than me, which created a bit of an obstacle when trying to wash his hair. I got up on the balls of my feet in order to reach the top of his head, collecting all of his hair in my hands to make sure everything was washed and clean. I felt as his muscles relax, as if he didn’t even know that they had been tensed, as my fingers worked at his scalp. If I wasn’t allowed to touch him in the way that I wanted, I would make him feel good in any way I could. He turned back around and into the water, rinsing all of the shampoo out of his hair.
I looked in front of the large mirror that lined one side of the bathroom. As I looked at myself, my thoughts wandered away from me. In all the time that I had been a soldier, the only women that I had ever come in contact with were doctors and nurses whenever I would get hurt on the job. They were extra careful with me, maybe it was because my face was valuable, or some bullshit like that. Other than that, I had never once seen a woman in any facility I had been in. I thought about this as I looked at myself, as the supplies and wardrobe given for me for the mission simply could not have been picked out by the type of men that I had met as a soldier. The makeup was high quality, clearly expensive, with perfect matches in color and shade in comparison to both my skin tone and the dress that I was given. The floor length black dress hugged my body in just the right way while also hiding the shiny silver of my leg. My hair was styled and put up and out of my way, both appropriate for the situation and the mission. I smiled at this woman that I did not recognize in the mirror. This was not me, this was Rose Castellan. I liked her, she wasn’t turned into a soldier against her will, experimented on and tortured for as long as she can remember.
I turned around, breaking away from my little pity party to see Bucky behind me, clearly struggling with his hair and tie.
“Help?” He looked so confused, and I smiled. I knew he didn’t tend to go on these types of missions, at least never by himself. He always struggled with his metal arm and trying to tie his tie, as well as never knowing what to do with his hair.
“Sit down, I’ll help with your hair first.” He sat in the chair that I had pulled into the bathroom from the desk. He complied as I began to fix his hair.
“So, any new memories in the last few days?” I asked, picking up the hairbrush and pulling it through his hair to get out all of the knots and tangles.
“There’s this one name that keeps repeating itself in my head, Steve. I know it’s important, I just can’t quite put my finger on who it is or why they are important.” I nodded, noting the information in my head.
“I am having the same situation. There’s a B rattling around, and I can’t quite get the rest of the word, but the B is there.” My hands gathered as much hair as I could in my hands, pulling it up to the top of the back of his head. “I have some parts that are solid progressions of time, but then it simply stops, sometimes for months, other times for years, is that like that for you?”
“Yeah, I can remember some missions that come in order, but then it just stops, and then starts back up later.”
“They really did a number on us the last time it worked when the tried to fry us, I could have sworn that I knew where all that time was going.” I pulled the elastic from my wrist, pulling it over the bundle of hair that I had gathered into a small top knot that kept his hair out of his eyes. His eyes scanned over his reflection in the mirror, clearly not used to the different look.
“Did I do ok”
“Of course, doll, just going to take a bit of getting used to.”
“You know you don’t need to keep it.”
“Yeah, but I liked it when you did it.” My eyes drifted to the ground for a moment as a blush spread over my face.
Bucky stood up from his chair, standing facing towards me. Taking the tie in my hands, I moved the fabric in and out of itself until it formed the knot that it was meant to. Finishing it off, I buttoned the front of his jacket, completing the look.
Glancing over at the clock, I saw that it was almost time to go. Luckily enough, we didn’t have to get into another car with another random driver, the Rosenthal Building was right next to our hotel.
“So what’s the plan for tonight?” He asked, as the two of us began to get our things together to leave.
“After we complete the objective, instead of returning to the hotel and checking in with Pierce for extraction, we disappear, find somewhere off the grid that we can hide out for a little while so we can recover more memories,”
“Sounds like a good idea, we can’t plan too far ahead, we weren’t given schematics of the building or anything.” We looked at each other, nodding, before he offered his arm out to me, escorting me out of the hotel room.
I picked up a drink off of the small tray that was held by one of the servers in the ballroom. I thanked him, and Bucky did the same. Swirling my finger in my drink, I looked at the polish on my fingernail to see if it had changed color. It hadn’t. The drinks were clean.
The room was exactly how you would expect, with the fanciest furniture and decorations that money could buy, the guests all in the finest and most up to date fashion, everyone talking about their recent business ventures and lavish trips around the globe. There was an anger burning in me, but I had no idea where it came from. The two of us scanned the room, looking for the target.
I looked over to see the target, Caleb Rosenthal. He was young, maybe in his mid twenties, with a pretty face and a lot of money. It was clear to see that this man had never met any sort of opposition or struggle in his life, always given everything he had ever wanted. I looked at Bucky for a sort of confirmation that I should start, and he nodded. Taking a deep breath, I walked over to the small group that Rosenthal had been talking to. I sauntered over, getting his attention.
“And who might you be?” His voice was unbearable, the entitlement and ego dripping off of his words.
“Rose Castellan of Castellan and Stowe Law, we haven’t met formally.”
“I would have remembered a face like yours, what’s your deal?”
“We mainly work in company lawsuits. We’re the guys that save your ass if you do something everyone will regret.” He laughed at the comment, before shooing the rest of the crowd around him away.
“Would you like to dance?” He offered his hand to me, and I smiled sweetly at him, taking it as he led me to the dance floor. His hands were sweaty and wet, but I suffered through it. The two of us danced for a while as the soft and slow music played in the background. I glanced over to see Bucky watching us with a laser stare.
“So who’s the guy?” Rosenthal asked, gesturing towards Bucky.
“My husband, but don’t worry about him.”
“Oh, and why is that?” His voice had that air of suggestiveness to it that made me want to throw up in my mouth. I leaned into him, getting my face close to his ear.
“Let’s just say the two of us have a bit of an arrangement,” I made the underlying tone of the sentence all the more apparent as I moved his hand lower down my back to rest on my ass. He looked surprised at how forward I was being, but it didn’t take long for him to lean into my ear.
“Let’s get out of here.”
“Lead the way.” Rosenthal took my hand and began to lead me away from the party.
The two of us walked the hallways, as Caleb tried to find an appropriate room in his own building. I looked behind me, and in the darkness of the hallway, hidden well by the shadows lurked Bucky, watching to make sure that nothing would go too far.
Once he found an office that he deemed suitable, he swung the door open, looking both ways down the hall before opening the door and letting me walk in. He locked the door behind him, and his lips were on mine, pushing me into the desk. I sat myself on the desk as he began to move his gross and sloppy kisses down my neck. I pulled the small patch out of the secret pockets of the dress, perfectly designed. As I moved my hand around his neck, I pressed the patch into his skin, watching as the material disappeared into his flesh.
It only took moments for the toxin to hit him. He stumbled backwards from me, holding his head in pain, uttering a weak “I don’t feel so good,” before hitting the floor. I checked the man’s pulse, confirming his death, before stepping over the body and unlocking the door. Bucky was on the other side, waiting for me.
“He’s dead?”
“Are you really going to question it? I know what I’m doing!” I said, punching him in the shoulder, the attempt at comedy trying to cut the edge of the situation.
“Let’s go.” Bucky began walking down the hallway behind me, as we tried to be as inconspicuous as possible. There was always a garage door when it comes to facilities like this, and thats what we were going to go to, getting into the elevator and pressing the buttons for the ground floor.
Once the doors closed, Bucky pulled me in and pressed a chaste kiss to my lips, soft and sweet, a comfort.
“What was that for?”
“I just want to make sure I did that, no matter what happens.”
“Nothing is going to happen, this is the perfect plan.”
That was when the elevator doors opened into the ground floor, and a man was standing there.  He nodded to us, before getting into the elevator as we got out. The two of us looked for some sort of lab, anything labeled as such. I couldn’t believe how lax the security was, but I didn’t say anything, that wasn’t our concern. Finally we found where we needed to be, a large garage, that opened up. I opened the door as Bucky watched for people around us. The entire situation felt off, like this was too easy.
Suddenly, agents began bursting in through the doors, none of which I recognized. I looked to Bucky, and he simply yelled, “Run!”
I did as I was told, sliding underneath the door and running into the street, witnesses everywhere as I ran as far as I could. People looked confused, and understandably so, a girl dressed like a debutante running through the city as fast as she can in heels. My heart pounded in my chest, as I kept looking behind me for Bucky, where was Bucky? He had to have made it out, he was a better soldier than me, he was a stronger soldier than me.
20 blocks, at least, thats how far I ran, before I finally stopped. I took so many turns that they would have had to have lost them, but there was no Bucky. I waited in that spot for a little while , an alleyway occupied by a small population of homeless people.
Bucky had to have gotten out, he had to. He just must have gone a different way, yes, that’s it! He had to have just taken a different route, ended up in a different part of the city. We would find each other later.
I looked down to what I was wearing, the clothing too distinctive. I scanned my surroundings, seeing a girl, roughly my age and size.  I went up to her, surprising her slightly.
“Hey, do you think I could trade clothes with you?” She looked at me funny for a second, but then quickly nodded. The two of us walked into the privacy that the shadows of the alley provided, shucking layers of clothing off of us, trading what one had for the other.
As I zipped up the sweatshirt and jeans given to me, I looked at the girl, still confused and concerned as to why I had asked her to take the clothing.
“You’re gonna be able to get at least 2,000 for this at a pawn shop, don’t let it get damaged before the morning unless you plan on keeping it.” Her eyes went wide with excitement and nodded, going back to the corner that she had come from.
I left the alleyway, and once again began to move, trying to find a different place to camp out for the night. I had no money, so a hotel was out of the question, and it wasn’t as if I knew anyone that I could stay with.
I was lucky that one of the things that I had gotten real good at during my training, was pickpocketing. No one was the wiser, as I moved flawlessly on the streets, anyone who dared walk next to me was subject to the loss of their wallet. I continued like this until I found myself another homeless camp, huddling in with the mass of smelly bodies.
I turned to one of the people huddled around a small fire, warming his hands. “What city is this?”
“We’re in New York, you really must have taken something strong.”

“He did what now?”, Connie questioned, brow quirked in amusement as she sipped on her wine.
You cackled along with her, fingers playing with the stem of a wine glass, which was filled with orange juice. “I’m serious, he’s surrendering his key this weekend!”
“Well would you look at that, Javier Peña settling down huh?”, she smiled, clinking her glass to yours, “I don’t know how, but you did it.”
“I’ll cheers to that, sister”, you gloated, the smile on your face just getting bigger and bigger as the night went on.
The boys were out together, leaving you and Connie alone with the baby. Olivia had been sound asleep for about an hour now and as soon as that baby monitor didn’t detect any fussy noises, it was go-time. How she got the drinks out that fast, you hadn’t a clue, but you weren’t complaining when she got out the chips as well. Seeing how you were back to work and she had a kid to take care of, you hadn’t seen one another a lot this week, but tonight you were just hanging out, catching up.
“How’s the clinic been?”
She sighed, letting her head fall back on the couch. “Sometimes I wish you would just quit and join me already. I swear they only speak in Spanish to spite me.”
You huffed out a laugh, only laughing harder as the two of you locked eyes. It was one of those moments that didn’t make sense, but was hilarious nonetheless. You clutched your stomach as a cramp threatened to come up. “Okay – okay, stop, stop, stop”, you yelped, struggling to catch your breath as you kept laughing.
Connie was wheezing at this point, doubling over as well, the rest of her red wine spilling into your lap. “Aha – shit that hurts”, she gasped, rubbing at her cheeks as they cramped up.
You took a few deep breaths, finally having stopped giggling away. In one swift motion you took the fragile glass from her hands. “Alright, alright, Murphy, you’re too drunk to keep this going.”
“Oh come oooon, it’s my house, I call last round!”, she whined, reaching for the bottle on the coffee table.
You jerked it away just in time, holding it over your head as she groaned and rolled her eyes. “Connie, I’m serious, you have a baby to take care of tomorrow, go get ready for bed.”
She pouted, dragging herself up off the couch as she slumped towards the bathroom. “You’re no fuuuun.”
Shaking your head, you walked over to the kitchen, rinsing the glasses and putting the half-empty bottle in the fridge while your friend attended to her business in the small bathroom. It was a little past midnight now, just about time for the guys to come back too, in fact they were a little late already. The three of you still had work in the morning, considering it was a Thursday night, but no-one other than you seemed to give it much thought.
Some stumbling in the general direction of the two backrooms caught your attention, drying your hands before hurrying your way over to the bathroom. Only there wasn’t anyone there. You peeked into the bedroom, seeing your friend sprawled out on top of the duvet, still fully dressed. Her husband could take care of that. She’d knocked the alarm clock over, successfully unplugging it from the wall in the process. You picked it up, putting it back into place before heading back into the kitchen. Being the good friend that you were, you filled up a glass of water and along with an aspirin, put it on her nightstand. She’d thank you in the morning.
Once back in the living room, you cleaned up the messes, stowing away the snacks in the cupboard and washing the dirty dishes in the sink. By the time you were putting everything back into its spot, clock striking past one, the door swung open. They were mid-conversation, Steve way too loud for your liking, drunk out of his mind. Well, they were married after all – you thought, thinking back of your passed out friend.
Javier seemed fine, supporting Steve as he guided him onto the couch, shooting you an annoyed glare halfway through. You rested a hand on your lower back, trying to ease the pain as you just watched the two of them, Steve’s hand grabbing towards you.
“She’s maaaad”, he noted, giving Javier a look.
You bit back a chuckle, not wanting to give him the satisfaction, instead just motioning towards the door. The other man understood, slowly nodding before throwing a balled-up blanket at his partner. “See you at the office, Murphy.”
He grabbed your coat off the hanger, opening the door as he waited for you. You pecked his cheek in passing, taking the coat from him as you put it on, the coldness in the hallway already making you shiver. “M’sorry hermosa”, he sighed slinging a warm arm around you.
“How much did you have?”, you asked, leaning your head on his shoulder as you walked down to the lobby.
“About three, I’m good to drive”, he replied, pressing a sweet kiss to the crown of your head.
It was a difficult night, having to run to the bathroom every other half hour as either your bladder or stomach pestered you. Javier was sleeping soundly, his whiskey tending to have that effect. You’d hit him over the head if you didn’t love him as much as you did. The acid reflux was killing you, no matter how upright you sat. You were never touching orange juice again, you vowed, fuck that.
Javier woke up to you sitting up against the headboard, neck at an awkward angle as you softly snored. It was then he noticed the bucket by the bedside, empty, but still there as a precaution. He’d let you sleep a little longer, off to the kitchen to prepare a breakfast while he woke up fully. As he flipped his omelette you shuffled out of the bedroom, rubbing your eyes as you stubbed your right into the couch.
“Motherfucker”, you exclaimed, pursing your lips in pain.
He grinned from his spot in the kitchen, winking as you flipped him an early morning bird. “Sit down before you break a leg.”
You plopped down on the chair, cradling your head in your hands out of sheer misery. You were exhausted and had an excruciating pain in your neck and back, not to mention how raw your throat felt, the acid reflux having left its mark. “Would you mind grabbing a coffee at work? I-I don’t feel particularly well.”
He put two plates on the table, sitting down next to you, resting a hand on your upper back. “Should’ve woken me up”, he mumbled, keeping hand there as he started digging in.
“Wouldn’t have made much of a difference anyway. Thank you for cooking”, you smiled, starting on your own plate.
The rest of the morning was slow, Javier proving to be very helpful as he rinsed your hair for you. There was nothing sexual about it, just simply wanting to ease things for you. You’d been okay for most of the week, morning sickness seemingly gone, but last night’s shenanigans got you good. On top of that your jeans didn’t button, stomach starting to protrude a bit more in your ninth week. Whether it was the exhaustion, annoyance or a culmination of everything at this point, you didn’t know, but you broke down into tears.
“Corazón?”, he asked, barging into the room, cupping your face in both hands. “What’s wrong, what happened?”
“I-I don’t know really, just my jeans don’t fit and – and”, you couldn’t speak anymore, just crying it out, keening into his touch as his thumbs swiped the salty tears away.
He let go with one hand, bringing it down to the denim, softly inching it down your legs. “Weather’s nice enough today, why don’t you wear one of those long-sleeved dresses? Casual Friday was still a thing last time I checked.”
You huffed out a breathy laugh, hiding your face in the safety of his shoulder. “God Javi, I’m such a mess. Are you sure you wanna move in with this?”, you asked half-joking.
“Stop that”, he groaned, lifting your chin to tangle his lips with yours. “You are the most gorgeous, smart, funny, beautiful, passionate and sexy woman I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. Now put on that cute dress or I will throw you onto that bed and make sure you know just how riled up you get me.”
You kissed the corner of his mouth, smiling as you did so, stepping out of your jeans before tiptoeing over to your wardrobe. He watched you as you slipped on the dress, fishing a pair of tights from your bottom drawer. You sat on the edge of the bed, rolling up the tights before slipping a first leg onto your foot, carefully hoisting them up, being mindful not to rip them with your longer nails.
In a passing motion, Javier vowed to rip them off of you later that same day.
In preparation of new measures, you had to sit through another couple meetings and to say they were boring, would’ve been an understatement. You and Javier sat close to one another, Steve sat on the chair between the two of you. He’d noticed you were struggling to keep up, eyes drooping as the search block just went on and on. After about an hour, a break was announced, which was much-needed. Everyone got up as you remained seated, not entirely sure of what was happening, attention span completely missing.
Steve got up as well, leaving the room to fetch some caffeinated drinks for the three of you. But Javi stayed put, scooting closer as he cautiously touched your arm. “Hey, what’s going on?”, he hovered, spinning your chair around to face him.
You stretched your arms over your head, letting out a loud yawn. “’M just sleepy.”
“I know baby, couple more hours. Why don’t you take the couch in the office during lunch?”, he suggested, leaning back in his own chair.
“Hmm, wouldn’t be fair to the two of you, really”, you sighed, standing up to stretch your legs.
He stood as well, bringing you in closer to capture your lips in short-lived kiss. “Go walk around the office for a bit, it’ll wake you up. Steve’s bringing you some of that tea.”
“Thank you Javi, you’re a hero”, you praised, dragging him down for another kiss. “Be back in ten.”
You meandered your way into the restrooms, finishing up at the sink, dunking your tingling hands under the cold water. Once dry you put your cold hands up against your neck, hoping that the temperature shock would help you out of your drowsy state. It did to a certain extent, the icy cold feel of your fingers on your warm skin making you shiver a bit.
Fuck – you craved that sweet kickstart of coffee, but even just passing by the small kitchenette, the odour was too pungent, nearly making you wretch. You nose scrunched up in revulsion, you quickened your pace, hoping to get away before any nausea could settle in. It was then you felt the familiar hot liquid tickling down your chest, letting out a yelp as it scorched your tender skin.
“Shit – are you alright ma’am?”, an unfamiliar voice sounded.
You peeled the fabric of your dress away from you, to relieve some of the heat. “That’s gonna stain”, you joked, trying to divert your attention from the burn on your skin.
“At least it’s a memorable introduction”, he chuckled, dipping his head into the kitchenette to grab a hold of the tissue box. “Stechner, Bill, I’m CIA.”
You pulled a set of tissues from the box, stuffing these between your body and dress, trying to alleviate the two, creating somewhat of a barrier. As you dabbed away you told him your name, which resulted in a raised brow. “Am I wanted or something?”, you quipped, trying to rub some of the stains out of the fabric.
“You’re partnered with Murphy and Peña, are you not?”
“That I am, speaking of which, I have a briefing to rush to”, you laughed awkwardly, the look he was giving you nothing short of unnerving.
He gave you a smirk. “I do hope we run into one another again, ma’am.”
You shivered at the comment, hastily making your way back to the conference room. They’d already picked up again, conversation in full-swing as you cracked the door open, wordlessly retaking your seat. You got some looks, no doubt because of the huge stain on your front and wide-eyes.
You certainly didn’t feel sleepy anymore. The feeling now overtaken by one of discomfort and unease as your clothes clung to you, the tissues already soaked through. Steve handed you a cup of green tea, face contorting in confusion. You made a gesture of dismissal, it clearly not being the place and time for an explanation. But the meeting was cut short as Noonan was whisked away by her assistant, clearly a matter of urgency, if not emergency.
The two men directed their attention in your direction, tilting their heads almost synchronically. “Who the fuck is Stechner and why does he hate both of you”, you demanded, clearly not amused.
“Stechner? Oh that’s all Javi. Ya see, your sweet menace of a boyfriend has had some communistic tendencies in the past”, the blonde taunted.
“Murphy. Watch your mouth”, Javier warned, throwing his friend a death-glare.
Your mouth fell open in shock and something along the lines of amusement. “You slept with a communist?”
Steve and you shared a glance, both sputtering out a string of laughter as Javier just sat there, looking up at the ceiling. “That was years ago. Now cut your bullshit, both of you. Stechner’s just an entitled asshole.”
The two of you calmed down, catching your breath as Javier grew steadily more annoyed, giving you an angry glare. “Oh come on, at least let me laugh about your hook-ups!”
Murphy clapped Javi on his back, mumbling about getting back to work as he exited the room, leaving the two of you alone once again.
“Is that why you wanna get out of that apartment, get rid of the evidence?”, you continued mocking him.
He took a few strides towards you, placing a hand on the wall beside you, towering over you. With the proximity you could feel the soft tickle of his huffs on your lips as you stared up at him. “I’m warning you, hermosa, you don’t want to go there.”
Something about his tone made it difficult for you to determine whether he was being genuine or not. For fear of aggravating him, you decided to shut up and not press on it anymore. “Lo siento cielo”, you croaked out suddenly feeling very self-aware as he brought up his other hand to rest on the opposite side of your face.
He looked you over, gaze lingering on your dress. “Mi corazón, ¿te hizo daño?“ (My heart, did he hurt you?)
Words didn’t come to you, mind overtaken by his cologne and frankly how tempting his lips looked right about now. He cleared his throat, making your eyes dart upwards. “Yeah, yeah – I mean no! No! I’m fine.”
His lips were slightly parted as he indulged in the desperate look you gave him, fingertips softly stroking your neck. “Should probably change out of that dress”, he muttered, lips ghosting over yours, “unless you need some help.”
You couldn’t help yourself as you threw yourself against him, lips painfully colliding with his in a bruising kiss. His hands found themselves on your hips, drifting towards the curve of your behind. “If you don’t stop now we’re gonna get in a lot of trouble”, you cautioned, supressing a moan as his fingers squeezed your ass.
“Cierto.. pero quítate ese vestido, estás empapada”, he groans, slipping his hands under the skirt. (True.. but you need to take that dress off, it’s soaking wet.)
You nodded fervently, pushing your hips into his, panting: “Supply closet, spare t-shirts.”
With your hand held in his, he hauled you towards said closet, making sure to be quick, not wanting to attract unwanted attention. It had to be a quickie, unless you wanted the whole office to know. So you hastily slipped the dress over your head and Javi ripped your tights down, leaving a run or four in your hose. He forcefully shoved his trousers down his hips, taking himself out of his boxers.
You sat on top of some plastic bins filled with spare supplies, legs spread as he moved to stand in between them. There was no time to be gentle, only to take the edge off. He had to lean over a bit, notching himself at your entrance before slowly pushing, bottoming out. You let out a breathy whimper, which resulted in one of his palms clasping over your mouth. His strokes grew more and more aggressive, the need to be closer to you spurring him on even more. The muffled noises you made were enticing to him, almost as if you were begging him to keep going, show you just who was to be in charge. And so he did. His pace was on the verge of brutal as he drilled into you, the metal racks behind you squeaking and rocking along in rhythm with his tempo. When you head tipped backwards and your eyes closed he knew you were close. He moved his hand to replace it with his mouth, swallowing down the sweet, filthy sounds as you hit your peak, closing your legs around him, locking him into place as he came. His lips left yours with an audible sigh, his forehead resting on your collarbone as he caught his breath.
The two of you cleaned up in the small space, stealing kisses left and right. With every sweep of his calloused fingers across your bare thighs you felt your heart flutter. But eventually, after he found you a pair of joggers that wouldn’t fall off and a t-shirt that wouldn’t be too tight you got dressed.
“How’s it look? Everything you ever hoped for?”, you joked, showing of the baggy, nonchalant outfit.
He pulled you flush against his chest, smirking before embracing you. “Muy hermosa, corazón. You head out first, I’ll bring some lunch.”
With one last peck you left the closet, trying to act as normal as possible with your ripped tights and stained dress under your arm. The post-coital lethargy mixed in with the lack of sleep soon had you struggling to stay awake again. As soon as you plopped down in your rigid desk chair you felt the familiar heaviness settle in your limbs.
“Am I really that boring?”, Steve quipped, not looking up from whatever he was reading.
You straightened up a bit, rolling your shoulders. “Sorry Murph, didn’t really sleep last night.”
“I noticed you looking a little green earlier. Take the couch, I’ll move the boxes so you can lay down”, he offered, already getting up out of his chair.
“It’s okay really, I’ll just get another cup of tea”, you ushered, knowing fully well you were expected to type a whole report by the end of the day based off of someone else’s notes.
Steve walked over to your desk, snatching the notepad out of your hands. “You’re pregnant for God’s sake, go lay down or I’ll have Noonan send you home.”
After some more bickering you’d agreed to switch tasks and that you would be reading up on previous reports and strategy proposals while he’d type the report for you. But after barely three pages your eyes just shut on their own. When Javier came back about twenty minutes later, the folder, still clutched in your hands, laid on your chest, softly rising and falling. He nodded towards his partner, gesturing for him to come grab his lunch. Meanwhile Javier sat down on the end of your couch where your feet laid, carefully placing them in his lap.
“What the fuck do you do to her?”, Steve asked jokingly.
Javier took his lunch out of the plastic bag, replying without looking up: “I dick her down.” Later he added a quiet: “like you’re supposed to.”
When by the end of lunchbreak you were still out, Javier decided to stay put. With your legs resting in his lap he grabbed a hold of the folder on your chest, starting to intently read it. It was in that moment that Steve pulled the old polaroid camera from the bottom drawer, snapping a sneaky picture as the two of you just sat there, somehow entangled with one another wherever you were.
He put the picture in his top drawer, not wanting to interrupt your little moment as Javier rubbed small circles on your ankle, sunken in thought. Today would be the deciding day, and everyone was anxiously awaiting the government’s next move. Though they all knew in the back of their heads, that no matter the decision, it wouldn’t change shit.
It was just a little past one when the news got delivered, some fellow agent sticking their head in to tell them: Escobar’s deal was accepted. La Catedral would become a reality. Javier flung the files onto the ground, tipping his head back as he heaved a disappointed sigh. All those years of chasing, murder and devastating guilt just for Escobar to get away once again.
Steve took note of his partner’s annoyance and never related more. “We’ll get him eventually. For now, we take out the smaller guys. He might’ve won this one, but the fight ain’t over yet Peña.”
Javier rubbed his chin, the other hand still resting on your ankles as he tried to keep his cool. He just couldn’t stop thinking about everything he’d done, seeing the faces of those damn informants flash before his eyes with every blink. The shots he’d fired rang in his ears, making him gnash his teeth. His fingers wrapped around your leg in a bruising grip, only getting more and more forceful. You jolted awake, drawing for a weapon on your belt that wasn’t there, panting as you locked eyes with him. He promptly released his hold of your leg, instead moving to take a hold of your shoulders, steadying you.
“What happened?”, you asked, the scattered papers on the ground enough of an indication for you to know that there was something off.
His lips were pursed together in a thin line, eyes avoiding yours as you got up off the couch. “They agreed”, Steve explained.
Your mouth hung open a bit as you looked at your friend, crossing your arms in front of you as you gave an exasperated huff. “Of course they fucking did.”
The two of you went home early that day, the car ride uncomfortably silent. You’d noticed the sheer rage and resentment in the way he walked. Without a word you’d taken the keys from him, climbing into the driver’s seat. He looked out of the window the entire time, not bothering to look at the road, or you for that matter. Whatever was happening in that brain of his had a vice grip on him and you weren’t sure if he’d let you help him out.
“Do you want to get some take-out?”
He whipped his head around to face you, noting the way your fingers flexed against the leather of the steering wheel. “What now?”
“F-for dinner. Do you want take-out?”, you stuttered, feeling small under his burning gaze.
A muttered “whatever” was all you were given, his eyes once again trained on the world outside of his window.
Not wanting to elongate the duration of the drive any more, you decided against it, knowing that you had some things left in the fridge. The walk up to your apartment was equally awkward and tense. But when his key didn’t immediately turn in the lock and he banged a fist against the wall, you knew what kind of a night it would be. You gently took the piece of metal from his hand, calmly unlocking the door before letting him in.
“Javi, baby, why don’t you grab a shower while I get dinner started?”, you suggested, setting down your bag by the door.
He kicked his shoes off, humming an agreement before shuffling off towards the bed- and bathroom. When you heard the shower turn on, you felt like you could finally breathe again. You’d seen him angry before, especially when dealing with sicarios first hand, but here, in private – in the comfort of the apartment, it was somewhat unsettling. You got out of the cupboards what you needed, and started washing some veggies while turning the tv on.
When he emerged from the bedroom, loose t-shirt and jeans, damp hair, you gave him a small smile. He pressed a quick kiss to your temple on his way to the fridge, pulling out a bottle of beer. “You smell nice”, you cooed, stepping closer to him as you reached for the glass of water.
“You’d hope so after using all of that bodywash bullshit”, he grumped.
“I’ve been reading up on those pamphlets the doctor gave me”, you started, turning your head towards him, “and it says the baby is about the size of cherry now.”
He gave you a look, shrugging his shoulders before walking off with his plate. “Not really in the mood for baby-talk.”
“Yeah, that’s fine. Anything you’d like to talk about?”, you tried, sitting down on the chair across from his.
He shoved a large bite into his mouth, hunching over a bit. “Nothing.”
You stopped trying after that, just finished your plate and got started on the dishes. Javier brought you his plate and went to have a seat on the couch. You rolled your eyes, scoffing softly, clearly not amused with his antics. I he wanted to be like this about it, then you weren’t going to stick around for it. So when all of the dishes were put away, you headed towards the bedroom, not bothering to talk to him.
Stepping into the bathroom, you locked the door, putting his soaked towels in the hamper. As you cleaned up the water on the floor, you ran a bath, desperately wanting to assuage your aching spine. You wanted to talk to him about, but knew better. If he wanted to talk he’d come to you about it – right? Or was he pulling some reverse psychology shenanigans, really just wanting you to talk to him? Your head was spinning by the time you lowered yourself into the warm water, a pleasurable whine leaving your lips at the contact.
Once the water got cold you got out, wrapping yourself in the fluffy towels you laid out before slipping into some softer pyjamas. You got ready for bed, seeing how you were still exhausted and treated yourself to the “nice-smelling-expensive lotion” for once. By the time you stepped into the bedroom again, door still slightly ajar, Javier was still in the living room. Seeing how it was not even seven yet, you concluded that it would be too early to go to bed and that you could catch up on some housework first. So you emptied the hamper and headed into the kitchen, basket under your arm, trying to get to the laundry room.
Javier looked up from where he laid on the couch. He was on his fifth beer by now, but craved something stronger. He reached for the pack of cigarettes on the coffee table, his need for relief overwhelming at that point. His fingers trembled as he went to light it, closing his eyes in relief as the nicotine hit the back of his throat.
You shut the washer’s door, punching in the right controls before heading back into the kitchen. As you walked into the living space again, you noticed the plumes of smoke trickling upwards. With your hands on your hips you cleared your throat, successfully capturing his attention. “Thought we had an agreement on those?”
“It’s just one”, he groaned, kicking his feet up on the coffee table.
“Take it outside then, you have a damn sunroof, balcony and shared terrace, plenty of options”, you tutted, not putting up with his attitude.
He turned around to look at you, raising a brow at you. “Will you stop bitching already? It’s just a cigarette.”
“In case you forgot, pendejo, I’m still pregnant”, you retorted, marching over to grab a hold of the pack.
He stood up, burning cigarette pursed between his lips. “The fuck do you think you’re doing?”
You yanked the balcony door open, throwing the pack over the railing. “You want your precious smokes, well go fucking get them.”
“Are you fucking crazy?”, he sneered, stepping out onto the balcony.
“I think it’s better if you go home tonight”, you said in a hushed tone.
He gave you an offended look, the smoke lingering in his breath as it fanned across your face. “Over a cigarette?”
“If you don’t want to open up to me then I can’t help you”, you explained, turning away from him.
His form towered over you as he stepped closer, chests nearly touching, a stern hand on your elbow. “Open up to you? And when exactly were you ever open with me? Because last time I checked I’m not the one signing a settlement because it’s convenient.”
“Let go of me”, you ordered, glaring into his eyes.
“You’re being unreasonable”, he pressed, grip on your arm tightening.
You tried to wiggle out, whining at the intensity of his grasp. “You’re scaring me Javier, let go”, you pleaded, voice shakier than before.
“You’re gonna listen first. You’ve been down here for two years and that’s barely anything. Compared to Murphy, to me, you’ve had it easy. Let me catch you up to speed, you haven’t killed anyone, you haven’t washed someone else’s blood off of your hands. You haven’t lost anything or anyone here. You, little miss perfect, have nothing to whine about. So when your boyfriend comes home after a rough day, let him have a drink and cigarette and maybe offer to suck him off.”
Tears had started forming in your eyes. This wasn’t the Javi you knew, even at his worst, this wasn’t the agent you were familiar with. It reminded you of that night where he showed up at your apartment, before he knew you were pregnant, when he fucked you and left. It made you feel sick.
“Who are you?”, you spat, untangling yourself from him. “I’m here for you every day, loving you, hoping to make you happy and this is what I get from you?” He didn’t say anything to that, just faced away from you. “If that is how you want things to be, then you need to leave.” Your voice started faltering, the emotion taking over. “I’ll be in my bedroom, if you want to talk whatever this out, then I suggest you join me and think about what the hell you need to say very carefully.”
His head hung low as you disappeared into the apartment, the sound of your muffled sobs stinging in his chest. He hadn’t meant for it to sound that harsh or condescending. He knew perfectly well what you had been going through both in and out of the field. Truth is, he was completely out of line and felt like a complete dick. It was a defence mechanism he had yet to get rid of. Javier wasn’t used to somebody helping him just because, that’s not the way things went here in Bogotá. There was always a catch, always something, whether it was money, power or information, there was always something.
You were his girlfriend, he knew that, he just wasn’t used to it yet. You telling him to leave the apartment – your apartment at that had angered him even more and made his reaction all the worse. He tried to take those vital deep breaths, trying to figure out a way to make it up to you. He remembered you complaining that your favourite ice cream flavour was always out in the store. So he got inside, put on his jacket and shoes and headed for the shops.
When you heard the door close, you cried into your pillow. It felt like a middle finger to the face and for a moment you thought that this could be it. This could be the time that he realised he wasn’t up for this. The following twenty minutes were the most painful ones yet. You thought you were hallucinating when the door cracked open again, shuffling out of your bedroom to see Javier standing in the doorway, plastic bag in hand.
“I – I uh, I went to get some stuff, so we can talk”, he stumbled, toeing his shoes off.
You cracked a small smile at him, beckoning for him to sit down on the couch with you. He grabbed some spoons from the kitchen before joining you. As he sat down you grabbed the tub of ice cream from the bag, eyes going wide. “Oh my God, how did you-“
“I asked them to set some aside last time we went”, he confessed, cracking the lid off for you. “Seemed like a good truce.”
You sunk the first spoon into your mouth, eyes rolling back as you moaned at the taste. “Well, you’re not wrong.”
He chuckled at the sight of you devouring the creamy goods, carefully scooting a bit closer. When you didn’t try to get away he slid an arm around you, pulling you against his chest. “Lo siento por lo de esta tarde. That was way out of line, I shouldn’t have said any of that.” (I’m sorry about earlier.)
“Shut up and try this ice cream, we’ll talk after”, you tutted, shoving a spoonful in his mouth.
The two of you ate the entire tub together, often interrupting the spoon shoving for a sweet, lingering kiss. By the time the tub was empty your legs were draped over his, head resting on one of his collarbones. He was just looking at you, tenderly caressing your cheek.
“I’ve done a lot of heinous shit just to get to Escobar.. so what happened today, it just set me off. It really shouldn’t have, I try not to let it come through when I’m with you but I slipped up.” You didn’t speak or interrupt, just let him say his piece while your softly scratched at his scalp. “I slept with those informants to get crucial information, intel that helped us a long way. But I also just slept with them to get everything out of my system. And then there was you and a month after we slept together I stopped seeing the other girls, even when they’d show up at my door. But there was this girl, a sweet girl really, that was so desperate to get out of here.. it didn’t end well and I couldn’t fucking protect her.”
“Javi, baby, look at me”, you cooed, shifting to straddle his lap. “That girl did what she thought was right, she wanted to escape. It’s not your fault, you did everything you could for her.”
He rested his head against your sternum, wrapping his arms around you to have you just that tad bit closer. “I’ve killed so many people, I’ve done so much fucked up shit.”
“Javier, you’re so much more than that. I adore you, I know you’re a good man. Good people do bad things, it’s the way things go around here. That day out in the small district, you nagging about my vest? You saved my life. And what we’ve got going on, us and this baby, it’s a good thing, something you deserve, Javier.”
He pressed a kiss to the left side of your chest, close to your heart. “You’re the one thing keeping me sane.”
“I try my best”, you chuckled.
“Stop being so amazing, I can’t take it”, he joked, kissing his way up your neck.
You grabbed a hold of his face, having him look up at you. “Javier Peña, I’m in love with you and all your quirks. But if you smoke one more cigarette in this here apartment, I will kick you out.”

enjoy this very mild sin...
...
Nobody knows.
Nobody knows and you’d be consistently frugal to keep it that way.  It also didn’t help that you were Royalty- a princess, and he is, well, ultimately, he’s supposed to be in his own quarters. But that doesn’t stop you from finding any chance to see nor touch each other.
Round the corridors, in the hallways, on the stairs, in whatever vacant rooms, a simple scan around the premises proving bare of any other participants or onlookers and you’re locking lips and abandoning both your posts of being royalty and him, not.
Though you would both pull away achingly from each other despising the small moment interrupted at the merest indication of a sound or a murmur and discreetly, as if nothing had just happened before, continue their walk. Though there was nothing discreet about the smirks and knowing grins you both held without having to look at each other. Though the thrill of it would eventually catch up to you. This, you were sure, but nonetheless, you still chose to share his bed and he, well, yours. Always and undeniably.
On a cold, frolicsome morning, whilst laying on your side with your back facing him and Jungkook, with the back of his metal hand, tracing down your spine, sending currents of shivers through every follicle and cranny of your soul. You release a long sigh into the dawn, the latter part of your morning routine from your maids dismissed the night before. You wouldn’t be disturbed.
“Kook, you need to get to your chambers,” you mutter, while grinding your round bottom onto his hips and feel a streak of precum lather the crevice of your backside it makes you wonder how long he’d been awake to work himself up to such a charge that you were sure he was already red and leaking. The sensation alone unbridles your distaste for him leaving.
“One more doll,” he says as he wraps his metal hand around your middle and fits his warm, handsome face in between your neck and shoulder, “just in case I don’t see you at all today.”
You hum at the motion and scrunch your nose at the albeit delighting touch of his growing hair tickling your neck. They were always the grandest, softest thing, more than rubies or sheepskin that you’ve ever laid nor your eyes or your hands upon. You succeed in taking note of his grinding motions behind you, his growing hardness yoked between your cheeks while his hot breath at your ear takes hold of every string of your undoing.
“Jungkook,” you moan, the vapor of your sex from your previous coupling still heavy in the room and pressing heavy at your eyelids as your eyes roll in sinister need.
He moves from behind you, pulling your form at your hips to the end of the platformed, king bed, his palms anchored surely till your feet touch the fuzzy feel of the carpets tickling your toes. You feel his warm hands trace the length from your shoulder blades, down the curve of your arched back, over your upturned buttocks before grabbing a fistful of your ass, groaning at the lavish skin that pushed through the spaces between his fingers as he pulls your cheeks apart and an onset of cold air barely touches your dripping cavern, leaving you in shivers of anticipated pleasure, already brewing dangerously close to releasing.
“Let’s mess around just one more time sweetheart,” he whispers, pushing his girth in-between your butt cheeks and he moans at the touch of your softness surrounding his member. You whine as you feel a finger scoop at the pool of wetness from your dripping cunt and hearing a pop behind you. You take that moment to turn your head and find him sucking his forefinger, the other hand rubbing both your sopping slick all over his dick, the motion adding moisture as he continues to press his erect cock between your soft globes, the sight of it alone causing you to moan and drop your head to the mattress.
“Kookie please,” you whine, impatiently prying at loose ends of his teasing and hoping to every deity above he can cease his teasing for just a moment if only to impale your waiting cavern with his well-endowed length.
“Patience bunny,” he teases, this time grabbing a hold of your waist and hoisting you up onto your knees, parting your bent legs.
“You don’t have much time baby,” you plead, taking note of the time on the clock on the far side of your bedroom walls, as impatiently, you wiggle your bottom in the air, trying to stifle a giggle in hopes to tempt him.
“Trust me, sweetheart,” he growls, placing both fists on the bed beside your bent legs and licks a stripe of your wetness from your swollen clit to your puckered ring. The mere slide of his tongue on your clit causing you to roll your eyes into your lids as you whine and eagerly swivel your lower back in desperate need of his fucking.
“Kook- “ you groan as he delivers a hard enough smack to your bottom it stops his full nickname being uttered.
“What did I say?” he asks as he tongues at your clenching asshole as his metal hand reaches forward to flick your clit. You fail to give him a reply and only opt to moan into the mattress before he reaches back and spanks your reddening ass again. Turning to look behind you and catching his devilish grin as you whine.
“To trust you.”
He pulls back and sinks a metal finger slowly into your dripping cunt; the coolness a stifling contrast to the heat you feel steeping to drop from the high of feeling your pussy being filled by his finger alone, and this time, he chooses to pop another smack to your other cheek, your noises of pleasure, mumbling the feeling, barely articulate and wholly incoherent as his lone metal finger began stroke within your walls and your moans double in volume before he growls. Something deep and guttural from hearing your cries at the mercy of his finger alone before gritting through his teeth, “Trust me what?”
“To trust you sir!”
“That’s what I wanna hear dollface,” he moans, withdrawing his soaked finger you’re your tightness and moaning at the dropping line of your slick onto the bed.
“Wish you could see how fucking gorgeous you look right now babydoll, here- turn to me and see how hard you’ve made me,” he says as he grips his cock in his metal hand, the coldness making him twitch. You quickly turn to see him stroking his dick, covered in black and gold metal and the sight alone makes your mouth water much more similar to how your dripping wetness as your lips open in abandon, your desire tangible when you bite your lip and peering up to meet his lust-heavy gaze.
You stalk toward him on hands and knees and lean forward to suck at his hanging balls as you hear him release a pleasure-filled grunt. You release and pull back to look up to see his head bent back with sinful moans releasing at his neck as he continues to jerk his dick. You place your mouth lavishly bound to the head of his cock, sucking at the velvety, slick skin there and before you lose any other part of your sanity, the one part of your brain that still soldiers to function tells you that you are running out of time. He has to get to his chambers really soon, but God no, not before he makes you cum one last time. So you release him with a loud ‘pop’ and he follows the sound as he reaches forward with his other hand to caress the sides of your face.
“My love, please hurry,” you plead, turning back around to present your waiting, ever dripping snatch. You feel his metal hand push at the tops of your shoulders, gesturing for you to lay your head down, the sheets, a feathers touch from your tight-budded breasts sending flocks of eye-rolling pleasure as you press flat on the bed. He grabs a handful of your locs, pulling hard enough the gasp that escapes your mouth catches tight at the bottom of your stretched throat. You moan and dare to arch your back any further, you might just break from the lingering release that lurks inches from when he would finally take you.
“You don’t tell me what to do,” he growls by your ear, the warmth of his breath a stark contrast to his speech, and your body shivers with anticipation before he lowly chuckles and says, “I will do with you as I see fit, whore.”
There it is.
The very thing you search for in your suitors and discovering their shortcomings in the one thing you needed most. You crave to be put in your place. You yearn to be manhandled like a needy vixen, like a pathetic slut that if you had it your way, you’d wait hand and foot to be used like the damningly sex deprived whore that you fantastically implore of being.
And he gives you exactly that. Exactly what you need. The very thing that puts you so far from the spectrum of the elegant princess you poise deceivingly to be. No, you were far from that, and he had been the only one to notice it.
You moan strings of ‘yes’s as he fixes the head of his member at your opening and without mercy pummels his hardness into you with a stuttered grunt and begins to slam your buttocks to his middle with a loud smack, roughly pulling your wet cunt over and over and over and over and over and over his girth. Your assassin turned royal guard ever gloriously dominating in his pursuit to find both your release as every stroke of his impressive cock slides past your vagina walls and like a buzz in the pit of your stomach, one sheer thrust touches your sweet spot and oh do you truly scream.
“There! Oh, fuck! Right there please- oh God! Right there,” you groan and growl and grunt and moan and whine and every little sound you make in hopes to urge him further, as you suppress to coax more of him into your pussy with every push of your hips back onto his cock, your orgasm just merely dancing in circles above you.
“Right here baby?” he teases with a grunt, hearing your sweet, wicked noises knowing full well in all his cockiness the sins he can rupture within you. Biting and growling at your neck he whispers, “Right here doll? Look at you, so fucking primal, can’t get enough of this dick can’t you? Pushing back on my cock like the needy whore you are – hnnggh.”
“Mine,” you whine, his sweet, filthy nothings behind you making you roll your eyes as he reaches a hand back and delivers a slap to your ass. Waves of nirvana pour over you at the onslaught of pain-filled pleasure from the reddening touch and every tug at your hair as he pulls and pushes into you, every breath stolen from your lungs, every bruising stroke inside of you, every stinging pleasure brought upon your supple ass, has you reaching heights till you’re sure they’re reaching the very tips of your fingers and your toes.
“My doll, taking me so damn well in that tight pussy-Fuck!” he grunts, his breath racing over the shell of your ear as he slows his pace.
“Yes,” you whimper, every stroke against your greedy walls lewdly singing in sloppy, wet sounds as you bunch up the bed sheets in your hands, a tight coil starting to brew at the bottom of your spine.
“You love sneaking around when nobody knows what we’re really doing, and it excites you doesn’t it?” he whispers, all broken and raspy as he laughs darkly in your ear while pulling out to the head of his cock before slowly delving deep into you till he bottoms out, his heavy balls a breath’s touch from your clit.
You cry out and slam a hand onto the bed, your body quivering with tremor, the bare weight of his shaft fleetingly tangling you into a crashing high as he starts to pump faster but more shallow inside of you, pummelling deep until it ghostly reaches your throat. The sounds of your sex swishing and licking at each other’s skin.
“Jungkook! Please-“
“Yes, my love!”
“Please!” you groan, his thrust begins to dig deeper into your cervix you were sure he was bulging out at your stomach.
His hands are everywhere. Pulling at your hips, your hair, your ass, your thighs, your swaying breasts; tracing every inch of you in compensation for the length of time he has to wait to touch you again. And you always dreaded that part. Above most things, you dreaded that you couldn’t freely walk around with whom you were sure is the love of your life. But for now, you’d settle for stolen moments and hurried kisses if it means you can keep both your dignities. However, at this moment alone, the lewd sounds of your tryst echoing off the walls with your needy pleas and his shallow grunts for release and his grunts for very much the same thing, sneaking around had its utmost peaks; and you were savoring this exact one.
“Jungkook! Fuck! Baby!”
“Cum,” he growls, every vibration against your neck pulsating down your body to your weeping cunt. Release just frighteningly close that you send a small prayer for your lover to finish you right then and right there and God does he know all the right spots.
“Take. Every. Last. Drop!”
You moan abidingly, as your thighs begin to tremble, shaking as spurts of cum fill you slowly yet surely, your own release cathartically reducing you to tears as you clench tighter around his cock, making sure to take his souvenir for keepsakes, keeping your pussy drenched for days. You like to revisit your trysts later when you’re alone in your bed, dipping your fingers into your hole and feeling his load still warm and moist inside you.

Jin thought it strange that his wife-to-be wasn’t in her usual recreation chambers as early as she usually liked to be. So initially he thought that maybe she wasn’t feeling well. But then he thought that surely, she would’ve said something. But then again, he wondered if it was more than that, especially since after asking her maids whether this was some new routine she had taken to. They merely shrugged and mentioned her often late arrivals in the past few weeks, and it wasn’t something they usually bothered to think about. But then again there was that sordid idea his betrothed had conjured up, dismissing her guard’s when it was not ideal, especially for the protection of the Princess; and he was itching for a rather scalding conversation with the youngster’s brother very, very soon.
Anyhow, he’d visit his betrothed this morning, only to find that not one of her assigned guards were stationed at the entrance to her chambers. Suspiciously he narrowed his eyes and pushed through the thick doors and to his chief shock and surprise, finds the nation’s only worthy head of guards in her living room, shirtless and albeit, locking lips with the princess’ cunt as he strokes his own shaft.
A sight for sore eyes they were; he only wished they had retrieved him sooner. He has always loved sharing his things.
“Jin!” you squeal, noticing his wide shoulders push through the doors and stood stoic against the gold crested doors.
“Oh don’t mind me darling, the little brother and I like to share.”
He especially loves the look of pure shock on your face, as Jungkook releases your swollen pussy lips with a smack, rising from his bent position. The action blocks your sight of the handsome prince at the door, and with a grin on the guards’ own lips you feel another pair of hands caress the bottom of your feet.

Hiii! Can you maybe do 🤧 + 🥡? for any m/c/u ship you like💚
dahjkfs yes of course!! tysm for sending a request, anon :D
after thinking on it i honestly am not feeling any ships rn, so this is platonic s/am w/ilson, n/atasha r/omanoff, and s/teve r/ogers, post c/a:tws, if that's okay. 1.0K words; i hope you enjoy this!!
(aijfslk it barely fills the prompt tbh but tis fluffy/angsty?? i'm kind of struggling to write m/arvel stuff right now and i'm so sorry)
It's not uncommon for Natasha and Steve to drop by Sam's house, not after the whole thing with the Winter Soldier. To be honest, Sam still isn't sure what that whole thing was about, only that the assassin was apparently Steve's supposedly-dead best friend from the 1930's, which. Apparently, this is now Sam's life.
(Literal superheroes show up on his doorstep and demand vodka and nights spent watching football; he should be used to this by now.)
Sam's in the middle of making dinner for himself when they break in again, Natasha simply picking the lock and letting herself and Steve in instead of using the key Sam so graciously provided for her. Assassins, seriously.
"—just stop moving, Nat, there's a goddamn knife in your leg—"
Well, that's not concerning at all.
"Shut up, Rogers, I'm fine, you're the one who somehow managed to get sick—"
"It's barely even a cold, I don't know why you're making such a big deal about this—"
"Pot, meet kettle," Natasha snaps, walking casually into Sam's kitchen with, yup, a knife sticking out of her calf. From the looks of it, though, the wound isn't actually too bad. Probably only a couple of inches deep; it'll definitely need stitches but the knife didn't hit any major arteries and Natasha should recover from it fairly quickly, as long as there isn't any previous damage. She pauses for a second while she opens the cabinet Sam keeps his first aid kit in and pulls out the suturing kit. "Please tell me you have iodine."
Steve's just finished taking off his boots when he walks into the kitchen, a small bottle in his hand, presumably from his belt. He's still in his full Captain America uniform, albeit only in socked feet now. "Here," he says, sniffling softly as he tosses the bottle to Natasha, who catches it without looking even while using her mouth and her other hand to sterilize the needle. Turning to Sam, he smiles sheepishly and immediately becomes Steve Rogers again. "Sorry for barging in on you like this."
Sam puts his hands up in surrender. "Hey, this isn't even the weirdest thing you guys have opened with. Remember the Potato Incident?"
"Don't remind me," Natasha mutters, inspecting the wound. "Towel?"
Sam sighs and pulls out one of the ones he saves specifically for these types of scenarios, tossing it at Natasha. She acknowledges him with a grunt of thanks, then carefully pulls the knife out of her calf and immediately wraps the towel around it, her free hand placing the knife onto the countertop as the other applies pressure. Throughout it all, her face doesn't once bare a hint of pain. "So... what happened?" he asks, glancing between the two of them.
"Mugging gone wrong," Steve says, as if that explains anything.
"Were you doing the mugging or being mugged?" Sam asks, an eyebrow raised to emphasize his confusion.
"Confidential," Natasha interjects before Steve can say anything more. Not that he was going to, since he's currently staring at the stove. Where Sam's dinner was. And where there is now a fire.
"Is that supposed to be o—"
He doesn't have the energy to be annoyed. "No," he sighs, pulling the pan off the stove and dumping it into the sink, turning on the water and watching his dinner dissolve into smoke that quickly disperses. "Cereal it is, then."
Natasha and Steve both wince apologetically, though they don't actually say anything as Natasha ties off the gauze and begins disposing of various wrappers and re-sterilizing equipment before she puts it back in the kit while Steve crosses the kitchen, pulling out bowls and each of their favorite cereals from Sam's cabinets.
He forgets, sometimes, that they've made a home here. They've each spent their nights here, come over to unwind after missions, bled onto his floors and cried into his shirt. The three of them are intimately familiar with each other in a way that's hard to achieve, especially within the community that Steve and Natasha are a part of, and now him as well. There are clear lines of trust written between the boundaries, and each one of them knows how to respect that. It's a miracle, really, that they've manages to build this relationship around themselves and have it stay with them.
Sam watches as Steve pours out a bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios for both himself and Sam, and then a bowl of Lucky Charms for Natasha, before placing the boxes back in their cabinet. Natasha's already procured spoons for the three of them and pulled the milk out of the fridge, and something in Sam's chest tightens as he watches the two of them move easily around each other with the kind of sixth sense longtime partners in the field tend to achieve. He used to be like that, with Riley, before...
Natasha's arm slips around his shoulders, her body pressing into his as a comforting weight, and it's these moments that keep him going. It doesn't matter what kind of service any of them have given, the point is that they've given and given and given and the world has taken so much from Steve Rogers, from Natasha Romanoff, from Sam Wilson, and they're here in memory of the people they've lost. They're here to keep going for those who can't.
So Sam leans into her, accepting his bowl of cereal from Steve and they all move to the living room, sitting down on his couch and putting the TV on just for background noise as Natasha pokes fun at Steve for somehow getting a cold, even with the bonus of his supersoldier-enhanced immune system. Steve can't even deny it, not with the way he keeps sniffling as he eats, but he's still grinning as she speaks. There's a fondness in his eyes Sam has rarely seen, and that's how he knows this is special.
They fall asleep like that, curled up on a couch that barely fits two of them, much less three, and don't wake up until the morning.

Wish You Were Sober {c.h}
Pairing : Calum x Reader
Requested : by anon : Could you write something about Calum, I don’t know if what I’m asking makes sense but could you write some fluff based on the song Wish You Were Sober by Conan Gray, like Calum is a party guy and the reader is not and she doesn’t like going to parties but because it’s him she goes, just because she wants him to like her?? Sorry if this was long. Thank you xoxo
Warnings : Alcohol
Word Count : 1.9k
Tumblr media
The steps (y/n) took in the driveway leading up to the unfamiliar residence made their heart palpitate and their stomach do hefty flips. The grassy front yard around the driveway was filled with about a dozen cars parked with no uniformity. There were a few couples making out against some of them, leaving a distaste in their mouth seeing how high up a girl’s skirt was lifted by her girlfriend. Goddamn, they hated parties.
The pungent smell of tobacco from the abundance of cigarettes had replaced the scent of the fresh air and grass, the nearer they were to the door. Upon entering, (y/n) was greeted with a waft of an acrid mixture of “dirty smoke” - as they called it - and combinations of strong alcohol that made them want to be sick almost instantly. The ever changing string of LED lights in the dark spaces between the walls made them feel constrained and trapped. Goddamn, they hated parties.
Their eyes scanned the interior, looking for the familiar face they had grown to meeting in these circumstances. Besides, the only reason they bothered dressing up and putting themselves in these gut wrenching and unsettling situations was for him. (y/n)’s eyes landed on the tall figure in the corner of the room who had his large hand enclosed around a cup, exchanging in a hearty conversation with someone they had assumed he met just now. He laughed at something she said and exchanged his cups with them which (y/n) had always thought was extremely foolish of him.
They locked eyes when he looked away from the woman standing in front of him and his smile turned into a grin that was enough for (y/n) to feel like their knees would buckle and send them to the ground below. They stood where they were, feeling as if they were frozen as Calum took mildly disorientated steps towards them. He slurred out their name and they felt their stomach sink with discomfort.
They were happy to see him, of course but why was it always at these godforsaken parties when he was half drunk. He leaned down to give them a kiss which they dodged at the last second, smelling the beer in his breath causing the kiss to land on their cheek instead. They felt sick but he didn't seem to notice, instead his grin remained the same as he slurred more.
“So glad you could make it, (y/n), do you want something to drink?’ he asked and they shook their head.
“No thanks, Cal. I’m okay…,”they paused. “Actually I need to use the bathroom, I’ll be right back,” Yeah, (y/n) real smart going to the bathroom as soon as you get here, they thought. Calum was way too intoxicated to give it a second contemplation, yelling a “Sure!” over the loud music that (y/n) felt was shaking the entire room as they felt the vibrations at the base of their throat.
The walk to the bathroom felt like a pilgrimage to a safe haven. Each step felt like their feet sinking into pits of sand, the music like a strong wind preventing them from hearing their own thoughts. Their hand gripped the doorknob to the bathroom, but not before hoping that it would be empty. It clicked and the door slid open. (y/n) stepped in, quickly shutting the door behind them. They immediately let out a sigh of relief as they leaned against the wooden panel for support, the knob pressing slightly into their back. They didn’t care though. They just needed to be away from all of that. The music sounded muffled and distant like the diminuendo of a segull’s caw as it flew away from above their heads, eventually out of sight. Goddamn, they hated parties.
Was all of this really worth it to get Calum’s attention? What was the point if the only time he made them feel special was when he was inebriated in the late hours of the night that faded into mornings. They glanced up at the mirror above the sink at their reflection. They could almost see the word HELPLESS written across their forehead. They sighed once more, before running the tap and placing their shaky hands under the water.
Tripped down the road, walking home You kissed me at your door Pulling me close, begging me to stay over But I'm over this rollercoaster
The last time they had dallianced with Calum was a little more than a week ago, after another house party that he had ended up in. They woke up at half past 2 in the morning by the sound of their default phone ringtone, sending a panic through their system - even more so when the familiar name Calum sprawled out on the screen. A wave of nerves washed over them, their central digging itself a pit when they answered with alert despite their voice a pitch lower from the sleep.
“(y/n)....,” he dragged. “I’m drunk….,” they sighed.
“Obviously,” they huffed and he giggled on the other end.
“Can you come get me? I’ll love you if you do,” (y/n) was pretty sure they heard what sounded like a hiccup from him. He had barely finished talking before they were already out of bed and sliding some trousers on.
“Alright, where are you?,” they asked, holding their phone up to their ear with their shoulder.
“I…don’t know, I’m near a McDonalds..and there’s like a lot of traffic lights..,” (y/n) immediately knew where it was, and to their advantage, they could get there on foot. They wasted no time, adrenaline seeming to punk through their veins as they jogged through the neighbourhood and onto the sidewalk next to the main road, the wind entangling into their hair and through their clothes.
The roads were idle, close to no amount of vehicles that would usually look like a group of lights from the higher levels of apartments. (y/n) enjoyed the silence as they continued to jog, turning the corner and spotting the McDonalds that Calum insisted he was at. There was something pleasantly innocent about the emptiness of the undisturbed street.
As if on cue, they spotted the brunette not too far away, lying on his back on the cracked pavement a few feet away, his legs bent at the knees. His arms outstretched against the floor as he stared up to the sky. A dark shadow cast itself on him and he averted his eyes to the figure looming over him. (y/n) didn’t look happy but he smiled up at them anyway, his eyes crinkling.
“Get up, Cal,” he obeyed without protest, to their surprise, raising his hand for them to take. A flutter erupted in their gut when his hand fit into theirs, and they pulled him off the ground before wrapping his arm around their shoulder to stabilize his standing. It took a while, his heavy disorientation making it all the more difficult for (y/n), their steps feeling heavier by the second.
Eventually, they arrived at Calum’s front door, fumbling in his pockets for his house key that they were relieved he didn’t lose in the midst of all the chaos. They wrapped their cold hand around the doorknob when they were interrupted by Calum gently grabbing their arm from where he stood facing them. His other arm wrapped around their waist, to pull them closer, flush against his chest. His breath smelled like whiskey and (y/n) was dawned with discomfort but the way his body heat radiated and washed over them was enough for them to drop anything and stay like that.
With no form of thought, Calum leaned in and kissed (y/n) whose lips were burning in a feeling of excitement and shock. They deepened it instantly, nonetheless feeling feeble and vulnerable in the arms of a man that could run circles in their fickle mind until they were unhesitant to give him a taste of them under his dim porch light. Their hands cupped his face delicately while exuding a desperate passion from that one kiss that they so deeply hoped he would understand in that moment, as befuddled as he was. As alcoholically motivated as he was. As emotionally insincere as he was.
They pulled apart, his lips still only a few inches away from theirs. He let out a whisper that (y/n) dazed - from the bliss - agreed to without an ounce of reflection.
“Stay tonight,”
I'ma crawl outta the window now Getting good at saying, "gotta bounce" Honestly you always let me down And I know we're not just hanging out
The water was cold which ultimately did not help their situation. They turned and spotted the window just above the toilet open which they could fit through if they tried to. They could though because goddamn, they hated parties enough to cling on to anything to give them the escape they despairingly craved. Their eyes blinked in a sedated flutter, as they contemplated if Calum would notice that they didn’t reappear. If he would even care-
Their questions were answered when there was a sudden knocking on the bathroom door, his voice calling their name from the other end.
‘(y/n)? Are you in there?” They gave themselves a last look in the mirror, let out a defeated sigh and wiped their hands at the back of their jeans before opening the door. He took their hand and dragged them out of the house and out on the lawn that (y/n) was just a few minutes ago.
“Where are we going?” they asked, causing Calum to turn back at them, a smug smile on his face.
“Away, from all the people,” they walked a few metres to his Rover, which was parked at the side of the road, the streetlight reflecting off it’s shiny surface. It beeped as Calum unlocked it before he opened the passenger side door for them. They climbed inside, while he walked around the other side to join them. A few seconds later, the air conditioning filled the interior of the car, cool air giving (y/n) a slight shiver. “Look what I’ve got,” he smirked, pulling out a bottle of wine from his jacket that they were confused as to how they didn’t notice.
“You smuggled a bottle of wine?” they laughed and he mirrored it, nodding. “We don’t even have any glasses,” they stated and he shrugged, taking a swig from the bottle. He outstretched his arm to give them a turn and they took the bottle from him, taking a sip. They didn’t like the feeling at first, but grew accustomed to it after a few swigs.
A realisation dawned on them, after a few minutes in the middle of a conversation. Calum was still drunk, which explained his sweetness, his eagerness to be alone with them. It was the only time he bothered giving them some kind of attention that they would return to him without him even needing to ask. Their chest tightened as Calum reached over and placed his hand across their jaw, his thumb caressing their cheek.
“You’re pretty, (y/n),” he whispered as he moved closer to them before pressing his lips to theirs. They kissed him back, of course. They knew they always would. A single tear fell from their cheek as they rested a hand on his chest at the discernation that this was all that it would ever come to. Inebriated exchanges of momentary passion in the shadows.
Take me where the music ain't too loud... ...Save me 'till the party is over Kiss me in the seat of your Rover Real sweet, but I wish you were sober
END.
